IT HAPPENED ALL AT ONCE

"Who the hell are you?!"
I immediately stood up upon hearing those words from whoever that freak was in front of Skylie. Lumapit ako. I put my hand around Dugyot's waist and pulled her closer to me. Napatingin siya sa'kin; taas ang kilay naman akong tumingin sa bastard intruder na nasa door.
"Who the fuck are you?!" I asked emphatically. I glowered at her. As Ais always says, nobody would win over may kamalditahan talaga. I could really be a bad bitch lalo na mga taong hindi ko gusto. "And how did you get through the security?!" I suspiciously asked. I distanced myself from Dugyot and took a small step forward para hindi siya masyadong malapit sa stranger, and so I could protect her.
"Hindi ka pa rin nagbabago," she answered, smiling from ear to ear.
I frowned, then I scoffed.
Do I know this witch?
Pinasadahan ko siya ng tingin mula ulo hanggang paa. Well, she kind of looks familiar. We're at the same height. She has this distinctly androgynous boy hairdo and a tomboyish flair that makes her look so manly. If you're not paying close attention, you'll probably assume she's a guy. She's dressed in a black sando, military pants, and boots—looking like someone who has just gotten out of military training. She does indeed look like someone who would enlist in the army, though. Binalik ko ang aking tingin sa kanya, and she was already smirking, probably thinking she's my type considering I checked her out. Fat chance! Bumaling ako kay Skylie Rae. Hindi siya nakatingin sa akin; her gaze was fixed on the uninvited stranger. She looked unhappy and fed up.
"You don't recognize me?" Binalik ko ang tingin sa babae. "You don't recognize your soulmate, Khail?"
My scowl deepened. What the heck is this creep talking about?! Tinitigan ko siya. Fudge. Do I really know her? I don't remember her!
"Kilala mo siya?" Dugyot asked.
"No," I softly answered as I glanced at her. Ibinalik ko ang aking tingin sa babae, and I grimaced again. "Soulmate? That's so absurd. No one gets to decide who's my soulmate but me! Not even the universe!" I firmly said. For some reason, nagitla siya sa narinig. "Do I know you? How did you know my name?!"
She chuckled. "Why would I not know? I'm your Romeo."
Romeo??? Siya??? Where in the cringey heck did that come from?!
"I'm going to call the security," seryosong sagot ko. I'm doubtful. Masyado siyang maraming paligoy-ligoy. I mean, she's a stranger. Of course, I should be doubtful.
"Ugh, fine!" She groaned and even rolled her eyes. "I can't believe you can't even recognize me," she mumbled. Napataas ang kilay ko. As far as I know, I am not obligated to remember each and every person that comes and goes in my life, am I? "It's me. Hailey. Your childhood friend. Remember now?" From calm, she now sounds a little frustrated.
Hailey?
Natigilan ako.
Childhood friend?
Isang tao lang ang awtomatikong pumasok sa isipan ko. Bukod kasi kay Akaizha, may isa pa akong kababata slash neighbor namin before sa dati naming bahay. I met her first before Ais, but that friend migrated to Australia after grade school. She was my best buddy and my "I'll do everything for you" kind of person. She was friends to all, super outgoing, and a complete sweetheart; even my parents loved her. Kung malayo ang personality namin ni Akaizha, mas lalo naman kami ng taong 'yon.
