It Won't be Long Now (sequel to adopted by mullette)

I walked out of the school, swinging my backpack over my shoulder. I'm 16 now. Last time you guys heard from me I was what? 14? 

To fill you guys in, Teddy is 3 now. He's growing really fast, you wouldn't believe it. 

Me and Philip are still a thing, calm down. 

We had our ups and downs, I've cried myself to sleep a few nights. 

And yes, we did break up at one point. Theodosia basically jumped on him when she found out. 

But sometimes you need to fall apart to realize how much you need each other.  And that's exactly what happened. 

But,  he and his family are down in South Carolina visiting John's mother. Only for about a week though, it won't be long. 

I climbed into MY car. That sounds really funny to say. I got one of those old lady cars when I got my license a month or so ago. 

I shut the door behind me and buckled myself. Safety kiddos. 

I decided I really didn't feel like going straight home. I don't feel like enduring Teddy's tantrums. I pulled out of the parking lot. I got beeped at like seven times because kids are pricks. 

I drove until I found myself near a dunk n' donuts. So I pulled in, parked and got out. 

I work at a coffee shop, but not this coffee shop. This one is too good for me. 

I recognized my best friend, Paige, standing at the counter looking pissed and bored. 

"yooo" I said, walking up. 

Her face lit up and she stood up. 

"well if it isn't my favorite frenchwoman" she said, smirking. 

I laughed, she has an obsession with calling me various names like "frenchman" "frenchie" it's funny to say the least. 

"shut up and get me a coffee" I said, smiling. 

She flipped me off and went to work. I watched her, criticizing everything she did. She wrote some not-so-nice words on the cup, I laughed when I saw them. I got 3 donuts because that's who I am. I threw my money at her and sat down. 

I ate, watching the news. I've found myself here a lot lately 

School is stressful, so I come after school and meet Paige here usually. 

I checked the time and figured i should head back before lafayette and hercules go beserk.

I got up, waved goodbye and left. Time to go home.
