Lafayette's POV (cuz I suck at Herc's POV oops)

I was laying on the ground in the living room, Teddy lifted above me. He doesn't play with toys very often. He enjoys playing airplane more.

Herc walked in and I sat up, putting Teddy on the ground in front of me.

"ello." he greeted, sitting on the couch.

Teddy, following his routine, ran over and jumped on him.

"Harper made it into the school this time right?" I asked, referencing the time she stopped to yell at someone and got suspended because Roses are red, cacti are prickly. God damn, it escalated quickly.

"Yep. I watched her go in. " he said, fixing teddy so he was sitting properly.

"are you sure you did? "

"no."

I sighed. "Herrc...."

"sorry! Philip was there, he always takes her in."

I rolled my eyes. "fine. I guess there's nothing I can do about it now." I said, laughing a little.

Teddy abruptly slid off Herc's lap and ran into his room. Probably off to get some toy. This is the one time he'll play with a toy this month.

I was right. He ran out and chucked a toy train at my head, luckily I ducked just in time.

"What did I say about throwing things?" I asked, trying to be stern, I'm not very good at this part.

"Not to do it.." He mumbled.

"go sit at the kitchen table. That's a timeout."

he sighed and walked into the kitchen.

I looked up at Herc from my spot on the ground.

"He almost killed me with Thomas the train. "

Herc laughed.

"put that on my tombstone cause of death: Thomas the train." I said, laughing and standing up.

Herc got up and looked out the window.

"Why is Philip here?"
