At the End of the Day

( AN- someone wanted more mullette so have this short chapter lol) 

Laf's POV

Teenagers are exhausting. Emotions run high and there's so much drama. Between work and keeping up with Harper's life both of us are very tired.
So usually we fall asleep right away. Tonight it was different.
Both of us were laying on our backs, staring at the ceiling when herc rolled over and pulled me closer by the waist. 

"Whatcha doing?" I asked. 

"Im cold."

"There's a blanket?" 

"Be quiet." 

I laughed and shifted, i could feel his breath on my neck. 

"Stop breathing like that, it tickles." I said, pushing his face. 

"Why does it bother youu?" He said in  a mocking tone. 

"As a matter of fact it does. I want to go to sleep, learn to breathe." 

"Fuck that."

"Watch your fucking language." I shoved a pillow in his face, laughing. 

"KnoCk it off!" He said, muffled through the pillow. 

"How about no?" 

"I thought you wanted to sleep?" 

"Oh be quiet, you started this." 

"I plead the fifth." he pushed the pillow off of his face. 

"what even is the fifth amendment?" 

"The right to refuse to answer questions." 

"Then that makes no sense." 

"Okay, go to sleep." 

I scoffed. "a few minutes ago you wouldn't let me sleep." 

"Hurry up and fall asleep before I change my mind then." he laughed. 

I rolled my eyes and pulled the covers over my shoulder, yawning and kissing him quick. 

"Goodnight." 

"G'night."
