Taehyung sighed in relief when he spotted Hoseok in the corner of the hold. Hoseok didn't bother to look up at him. "Hyung, don't misunderstand Jungkook, he just doesn't like it when Jimin spends time with other people more than he does with him."

Hoseok stayed quiet, running his fingers over the floor. "Are you going to leave me somewhere when this is all over? When you no longer need the key?" Taehyung crouched in front of him and placed his hands on Hoseok's knees. "You're not leaving us, hyung. Once you become part of the crew you're part of the family." Taehyung smiled but it just wasn't reaching Hoseok. Instead the same scent filled his nostrils.

"What's going on here?" The two were startled by a voice behind them. Hoseok looked pass Taehyung at Yoongi who was looking between the two. "Oh, Jungkook was rude to Hoseok." Yoongi moved closer to them. Hoseok's ears slowly hunched back, he looked up at him with wide and fearful eyes. Yoongi noticed and smiled. "Do I look like I'd treat you bad?" He asked, his low voice lowering as he found himself guilty for making Hoseok feel that way.

Hoseok shook his head. It wasn't fear that made Yoongi different, it was something Hoseok didn't recognize. "Yoongi is a good person, Hoseok hyung." Taehyung smiled, noticing the awkward atmosphere. But what made the situation funny was Yoongi talking to the hybrid. Yoongi never cared for people, he didn't try to approach them the same way they didn't approach him. And he didn't mind the distance. But he was drawn to Hoseok.

"I'll leave now. I'm sure Yoongi hyung's social skills aren't that bad." Taehyung winked at Yoongi who stayed quiet as the younger one left. Hoseok didn't want him to go, it was strange to be alone with Yoongi. Yoongi looked over his shoulder to check if the idiot was really gone. "Okay, Hoseok, I'm not gonna call you hyung." Hoseok nodded, shifting in his seat. Yoongi knew it was uncomfortable on the hard floor, he looked around and he smiled in triumph when he saw barrels. "Here." He grabbed one and rolled it towards him. "It's much better than the floor." He threw a blanket over it. The crew must have slept there and Yoongi was thankful they were gone. They were on the other part of the ship.

"So, Hoseok, what are your thoughts on the world?" Yoongi cleared his throat. Hoseok mimicked him unconsciously, his eyes settled on Yoongi and occasionally dropping on his chest when Yoongi looked at him. "It's pretty. Dangerous, but that's what makes it worth living." Yoongi cocked his head aside. "You're an adrenaline freak?" Hoseok's eyes widened and his cheeks reddened, He fiddled with his fingers, his head lowered as he avoided to look at Yoongi at all. "No. I'm saying it's boring when you die."

Yoongi chuckled. "How would you know how it's like to be dead?" "You can't do much dead." "Well for some people it's the same when they're alive." "I'd know." Yoongi couldn't think of a comeback at Hoseok's confession so he stayed quiet. Which made Hoseok feel bad, he was an expert when it came to making things awkward. "Sorry." "No, don't apologize. I just – I guess I just... Why are you so different?"

Hoseok had no idea which way to understand his question? Was he talking about his shy personality? His physical appearance? Did his ears and tail bother him? Or maybe he didn't like quiet and awkward people. Yoongi noticed the boy was confused and hesitant with his answer. "I'm not talking about your ears, or your tail. I'm talking about all of you. You just... Ugh, I'm not good at expressing myself." "In a bad way?" "No! In a great way!" Yoongi shut his trap when he realized he exaggerated. And Yoongi never exaggerated. Hoseok smiled while looking away. "No, don't hide your smile away." Yoongi whispered, placing his index finger below Hoseok's chin and turning his head towards him.

"I've never felt something like this before, as stupid at it might sound. You make me feel like I know you, like you're this good person everyone has to trust because you can't lie. And you're such a good person Hoseok, I had a feeling we would meet." Hoseok covered his face. "But I didn't do anything!" "You exist! That's enough." Yoongi giggled while patting Hoseok's back. The hybrid pouted, parting his hands to look at Yoongi with glittery eyes. "Thank you, Yoongi hyung." Yoongi nodded, opening his arms and expecting of Hoseok to hug him.
