It was April again .The trees that bordered a dirt pathway from the South side of the town was blooming with bright , vivid shades of light pink. The sky was pale blue. The warm sun rays gently caressed her light skin. The soft wind was ruffling through her dark brown hair, and her starlight blue eyes transfixed on the path ahead. Her name was Clara. She was a girl who always sought to see the good things in life. She was 18 years old and lived with her mother.  she lost her father at the age of 5 which made her bond with her mother grow stronger. It was a Friday afternoon and she loved the feeling she got when she walked home after school. She would open up her arms and run on the dirt pathway laughing. She loved that feeling of being a child without needing to be concerned about any worry in the world. It was her habit ever since she was a small girl to dance around on her way to school and when she came back from school. Her mother used to hold her arm with her while she skipped and jumped about. Clara was indeed a very frisky girl and still was. On days like this, when the trees were in full bloom, she would always at least feel one cherry blossom petal brush past her face. These types of little things gave her pleasure. She loved to stare at the environment and dream about all the types of magical things that could happen. Others would call it childish and immature but it was her way of letting her thoughts run off. She always had a feeling that she was a bit different from the others. She had no problem fitting in, in fact everybody loved her and saw her as a very inspirational character. She was different in a way and she knew it, but she ignored that fact thinking that it's just her crazy imagination.

Taking her eyes off her workload, Rachel saw her daughter walking towards their house with her head in the clouds as usual. Rachel too had starlight blue eyes which were always was watching after her daughter. She was very protective of her daughter and wanted the best for her. She was a woman of many secrets . She never told anyone properly about her husbands tragic death, nor did she even tell anyone much about herself. Even Clara only knew that her father was killed in a car accident. Nevertheless she believed what her mother told her. She trusted her and loved her dearly. However Rachel was very friendly and lovable. She was a very beautiful woman for her age. She was so beautiful that people say that her face was carved by angels. Her daughter too was very beautiful. Rachel and her husband came to the town when they were just married and managed to buy a decent house for themselves. Soon they had Clara, their only daughter. Rachel managed to get employed at a dress shop to help in tailoring. After her husbands death Rachel managed to get a job as a teacher at the towns junior school. It was enough money to live upon. Rachel had to suffer a lot in her life but she was happy that she had somehow managed to do it. Rachel had along, curly head of hair which was black as ebony and complemented her eyes perfectly. She had a look in her face which made her look like she had a big burden upon her shoulders. When Clara made her laugh , it would vanish and slowly return back. Clara had often tried to figure out what upset her mother but Rachel would avoid the question by standing up and exiting, leaving Clara confused and lost. Even though Clara and Rachel were very close, there was always a barrier between them when it came to the families history. Clara had not many memories of her childhood, she could never remember anything she used to do before she was 5 years old. That fact baffled her. No matter how much Clara wanted to know about the secrets about her father, Rachel would refuse to even utter a word about it.

After an uneventful weekend Clara was getting ready to go to high school. She was sick of her same old boring life. She knew it was impossible but, she wanted more. Not more money or expensive luxuries but more happiness and more meaning in her life. Right now all she could see in her life was that she would soon have to get a good job so that she would be able to earn enough to move to the city and support her own family in the future. As she walked through the gates of Cherry wood High school, she heard the bell ring echoing through the school. She was late. She knew she stayed way too long at the dirt pathway admiring the cherry blossom trees again. She ran up the short beige steps to the hall where she suddenly bumped into a student. Little did she know that this student was going to change Clara's life , forever.
