Beyond The Clouds.

Clara gasped and stared at her mother,shocked and confused. She didn't know what to say. How could her mother keep such an unimaginable secret with her for this long? Could Clara even believe her? Then it dawned on Clara that this crazy story in fact, made proper sense. It was hard for her to take it all in.Her eyes shifted from her mothers eyes to Gus. He was motionless. His hands tucked in his pockets. His gaze fixed to the ground. He too did not want to look at Clara.

" The demons hunted your father Clara. Ever since then they have been trying to kill you !"cried Rachel as she grabbed her daughter in her arms and started to cry. She tucked her face in her daughter's shoulders. Clara emotionless at first stood blankly, without saying a word. Within seconds she too couldn't control her emotions. She felt her tears,warm and wet rolling down her tan cheeks. Her arms grabbed her mother and held her close as the both of them mourned for her father.

Slowly Clara let go of her mother and wiped her tears .

" Mom, does that mean that, ..that .. I.. had ...a sister?" Clara asked wide eyed. For a split second she became immensely happy. She had lived her whole life thinking that she was alone as a child but she knew now, that she did have a sister. But then her happiness disappeared as she remembered the fate her sister had to go through.

" I still cannot believe it. All this time I thought that... "

"Well you thought wrong , didn't you?" replied Gus, rudely interrupting Clara.

Before Clara could respond to him Gus went on " Clara, you have something very precious and important with you that both the Angels and the Demons want."

" What to I have? asked Clara desperately. She had gotten sick of the fact that there was so many secrets about her that she, herself did not know.

" Like Luna, you too have that curse within you." replied Gus.

Clara stood up. She had enough. She was mad and didn't want to talk with them any more. She felt like she was going to scream. She had a mix of emotions inside her that she couldn't express. Having stood up, she dashed out of the living room and out of the house. Just as Rachel was about to run after her, Gus grabbed Rachel's right shoulder to stop her. She looked back at him.He shook his head in disagreement. " Let her be. She needs her time to get over it. Tomorrow, I'll take her to her real home."said Gus. He was right. Right now, Clara needed her own time. Clara ran through the garden of her house which was filled with wildflowers in the bloom. The ground was littered with light green coloured ferns which sheltered the bright red ladybugs who were decorated with neat black dots on their shells. Soon she came to the dirt road which was bordered by the graceful cherry blossom trees.

As she gentled her pace she looked up at the sky. Taking small steps at a time, she felt the dirt beneath her black buckled shoes shifting, toppling the small rocks within the soil. She felt the cool wind blowing past her legs and arms. Her knee length skirt along with her dark blue school blazer was waving slightly in the wind. It was at times like this she felt the peace and tranquility in the environment. The sky was grey. It was  just like the day she had met the demonic shadow for the first time when she was 6. She looked forwards and saw no one in sight. It was quiet and peaceful. The wind seemed to be picking the petals off the cherry blossom tree and dropping them on the ground. Clara's mind slowly started to focus on the problem that she had to face when she went home. As she stood staring at the trees, her mind rushed into the magical yet unbelievable story she had heard. Was she really more than a human? Was her father really killed by demons? If so, her mother had done everything in her power to keep her safe for all these years. She started to give in. She made up her mind that her mother was an Angel and her father was a Demon. She also accepted the fact that her sister was gone. After making up her mind up to such an extent, only three questions remained for her. What was Gus?, Was she an Angel or a Demon? and was she actually cursed with the same curse her sister had to face?

While these thoughts ran through her mind, she heard the footsteps of someone else walking on the dirt path. She glanced backwards to see a silhouette of a tall person walking up to her. As he came closer his light brown hair and green eyes became visible. Clara turned towards him. She wanted to talk to him, but she didn't know where to begin.

" Look Clara, I'm sorry if I upset or scared you earlier. Really I am. And I know by now you must be really confused and mad and upset about all these secrets that were hidden from you. To make it clear,truth is I'm an Angel."

Gus paused and looked at Clara. He wanted her to really take in what he was about to say. But he knew that if Clara was mad, she would ignore everything and probably walkaway again. To his relief, he could see that she was listening with attention.

"I went from dimension to dimension searching for you Clara. Your sister Luna, has managed to break out from the underworlds and is recruiting a demonic army as we speak.She's coming back for revenge and she wants to take over all the angelic dimensions including Azuerath. With her immense power it is possible. She has grown stronger and stronger in the past years and we won't be able to win this war without you . Do you understand?"Gus finished.

Clara had not seen Gus this anxious.She was scared inside but was determined not to show it.

" But why am I important? And what do you mean by 'We' ? " asked Clara with her arms crossed.

Gus set out a silent sigh as he continued,

" I come from an Angelic guardian group which is lead by an angel called Leo Reddawn. He is the one who came up with the idea of finding you . The group consist of only three guardians. But we are the most powerful in Dynasty's army.Because you are Luna;s sister you too have that power inside you.With your help we can defeat Luna which will save countless amounts of lives and keep the balance between all the worlds."

" But, didn't you say that this power or 'curse' destroyed Luna and made her a demon?" asked Clara as she shivered at the very thought of it.

" That happens only if you are not strong enough to control your power." replied Gus with a very casual tone smiling at Clara.

" So, It's that easy eh? And how do you suppose that I learn to control It when I can't even walk to school without day dreaming ?" Clara asked sarcastically as she tilted her head side wards still with her hands crossed.

" Simple, tomorrow, I take you and your mother to Dynasty and us guardians will train you!." Replied Gus with a smile.

" WHAT? TRAIN? " asked Clara shocked. Her arms fell to her sides and her head tilted up straight as a chill ran down her spine.

 " Yeah. Don't worry, It's gonna be very easy " cried Gus as he a smirk ran across his face. He turned back to the direction of the house slowly but still keeping his eyes on her. She watched him as he turned his head and started to walkaway. The way he walked was very casual and light showing that he was happy. He had successfully done his job of finding her and scaring her a bit. A smile appeared on Clara's face to her own surprise as she watched his silhouette disappearing as he walked further and further away. Maybe this was what she had been waiting for. This must be where her adventure of a lifetime starts.
