He had committed the ultimate betrayal in her eyes, attempting to kill her father. At the time he was trying to kill the whole league, but he got a lucky hit on her father while he was fighting Black Manta. Apparently the villain was his father, and while he may have been protecting his father at the time, she was prepared to protect hers.

She hadn't been there when they attacked, she'd been locked in a basement, covered in chains and without her prosthetic.

But she was here now, and there was nothing holding her back.

With a small, almost feral growl she watched his lively, amused silver eyes lock with hers, and she was ready to commit murder when she saw his too perfect smile flash her way. How long would it take to strangle someone with gills?!

" Greetings Elementum, it has been far too long," Kaldur greeted as the crowd parted to give them perfect view of each other.

" You son of a......" Hal began furiously.

He was silenced when Kee put up a hand in front of his face, and by the murderous look on her ruined face and the dark clouds on the horizon, she was very, very mad.

" Hmmmm, still speaking for yourself I see," Kaldur commented, his smile and gaze still warm.

That, that was a low blow, and while he hadn't meant it to sound like that, she was absolutely livid now.

She walked slowly towards him,  for once glad that Vandal's experiments had allowed her an immense growth spurt, so she could look at him eye to eye. Her glowing yellow eyes were locked on to his silver eyes, and her glare pulled at her horrendous scars, making her look like a living nightmare. Her cloak billows around her in a sudden gust of rogue wind that made the civilians struggle to keep their feet under them.

He looked at her expectantly, waiting for her say something, or at least sign something. So in the end, instead of saying anything she did what any good bogan Australian girl did when words weren't needed.

She punched him, straight in the nose.

Blood poured out of his nose and he instantly tried to clog in with his webbed hands, staring at her with surprise at the sudden attack.

She shook her hand, hating how her knuckles were hurting slightly, and turned swiftly on her heels, her cloak slapping him in the face a second time as she strode away from him, head held high in the air and nose upturned.

Some of the civilian men wolf whistled and laughed loudly at Kaldur's bewildered look.

" Why are you upset?" Kaldur asked in shock.

Kee turned again, her yellow eyes flashing their previous  brown for a moment.

" Look in the mirror and find out!" She hissed in her deadly tone, flipping a gesture even those who'd dint know sign language understood clearly.

And with that, she waltzed away, quickly followed by her father who's tarted fussing over her bruised knuckles with a deadly glare in the young man's direction over his shoulder.

" That was a good hit," Her dad commented with a smirk.

' It felt good, I have been waiting for four years to do that,' Kee signed, a proud smile on her face.

" Well you have my permission to do whatever you need to do, I trust you to make your own judgements. But if he hurts you, it'll be my job, deal?" Hal brooked.

Kee laughed slightly at his serious tone, and looped her arms through his.

' You are a great dad. Just don't kill him, okay?' Kee signed in amusement, resting her head on his shoulder as they walked in sync.

" No promises," Hal grunted, ruffling her hair affectionately.

They'd reached their home now, well, the only home they knew since the Watchtower was deemed unsafe. They now lived in the mountain like everyone else. Their home she had provided the materials for, while Hal had used his ring to help build it all up in to a livable area.

It was made off rocks fitted perfectly together, she'd commanded grass to grow as a substitute for carpet, and luminous mushrooms lit up the dark corners. There was a small well in the corner for water, and the beds were right next to each other, constructed of wood from felled trees. She didn't have much to cook with, but she still managed to cook a delicious meal with what they had.

Kee was the unofficial head cook of F.I.S.T, she was in charge of working in the large cafeteria at the base of the mountain, she was helped by many of the mothers that had migrated here with her. Together they made up enough food for everyone, making mass meals and serving them lunch lady style.

She was almost due to start cooking dinner soon, she reminded herself.

' Will he be staying?' Kee signed, sitting down on her hard bed with a sigh.

Her dad came and sat next to her, nudging her til she rested her head on his shoulder.

" I don't know what his plan is, but after all he did, I doubt the league will let him roam around here free. They'll probably put him in the cells until they decide wha to do with him," Hal replied, knowing the way they treated captured enemy soldiers.

Kee nodded, hating how much comfort she need from her dad, but then again, she refused t from anyone else so it was to be expected.

' Where did Carol go?' Kee signed after a long silence.

" Oh she's helping out some of the new arrivals, apparently one woman is heavily pregnant and Carol's always the one to help," Hal explained with a fond smile.

Kee rolled her eyes at the obvious longing in her father's heart.

' Go talk to her, I have to go cook,' Kee signed, pushing herself away from the warmth her father provided.

" My little chef, please make sure Mrs Yane doesn't undercook the meat again, we can't have another food poisoning outbreak," Hal reminded her.

Kee chuckled, before standing up with a stretch.

' I'll do that, you just make sure to keep that fish boy away from my vicinity,' Kee signed, before trailing out of their small living space, adjusting her twin blades as she went.
