Daft Punk: robots after all

Chapter 2: Around the World

After a great concert for the young student, Sophie is about to leave the room. A security guard makes her off the stage and asked her to return in the crowd. People begin to leave and the room slowly empties. Already, technicians begin to remove the decor and lighting of the scene. Sophie takes her coat and starts to leave, in watching the pendant that one of Daft Punk gave her at the beginning of the concert. For her, this is the greatest night of his life, she will never forget. But yet, Sophie is a young fearless girl and in seeing of the corner of the eye, that the door of the lodges is not very far behind the scene, she can not resist to the temptation and she enters discretly inside, while security guards turn to the crowd. Sophie knows that in entering the lodges without permission, she takes risks, because if she gets caught by security officers, she will have trouble. But the temptation and her love for Daft Punk are stronger. Sophie walks in the corridors of the lodges, which are strangely quiet..... And empty. Where is the staff? It seems that there is nobody. Then, in approaching a room, she begins to hear strange noises. She approaches of the room and comes to understand that is the lodge of Daft Punk. She slowly opens the door and looks discretly by the doorway. What she sees, is weird: Daft Punk is sitting on the seats, but one of them, Thomas, at unhook his hand to check if the power supply circuits work well. Guy-Manuel is working on a little strange metal device. Then they start talking between them, but with robotic voices.

(Thomas): "The crowd was great tonight, as usual. Our tour ends well, but my circuits are tired."

(Guy-Manuel): "Do not talk so loud, they could hear us."

Sophie does not believe what she sees and hears, Daft Punk is not just a band, they are not human, they are real robots! The girl was completely stunned by this. But suddenly, Thomas looks up and turns to the door.

(Thomas): "Somebody is watching us from behind the door. This is the girl that we made up on the stage."

Sophie gets scared and fearing getting caught, she ran away. Without getting caught by the security guards, Sophie leaves the concert room and goes to the subway station to go home. She is still stunned by what she's seen and wondered if she dreamed or if it's real. When she got home, everything is calm. Parents are asleep and the apartment is quiet. Quietly, Sophie enters in her room, put on her dressing gown and decides to go to bed, even though with all the events of that night, she doubts she will manage to sleep. She looks out the window of his room, the city seems so peaceful. This is the full moon and the cold weather arrives quickly in the streets of downtown. It is two o'clock in the morning. Despite his concerns, Sophie manages to asleep. But about three o'clock in the morning, she is awakened by a noise. When she opens her eyes, she saw that her bedroom door is wide open, then that it should be closed. Sophie lights up the light of her lamp, but there is nobody in the room. Suddenly a great blinding light appears behind the window and begins to invade the room. Sophie must protect her eyes not to be blinded. Two humanoid figures out of the light and move through the room to the bed of the girl. Sophie gets to watch and recognizes the figures. These are the Daft Punk, who looks her without saying a word.

(Sophie): "You!"

She tries to get up to run, but Thomas takes a similar object a little futuristic gun, and shoots a blue ray on Sophie. The girl was not hurt, but she is paralyzed and falls to the ground. The weapon is a stun ray. Sophie tries to moving but it's impossible. Daft Punk approached her and one of them spoke to her.

(Guy-Manuel): "Now, you're coming with us."

Daft Punk reaches out to her as to catch her. It was the last thing Sophie saw before fainting. Sophie wakes up later. She hardly opens his eyes and looks around her. She is no longer in her room, but in a foreign room, with a futuristic appearance. She manages to get up, but with difficulty. Sophie moves into the room and looks around her. Then her memories begin to return to memory. The blinding light, Daft Punk.....

Suddenly the door opens and Daft Punk enters in the room.

(Thomas): "Ah, she's awake."

Sophie gets scared and back against the back wall of the room.

(Sophie). "Do not hurt me! I will not say anything to anyone, I promise you!"

(Guy-Manuel): "Calm down Sophie, we do not want to hurt you. We know that you are aware of our secret, but we'll explain you. Come with us, do not be afraid."

She follows the group in another room, a little larger. It almost looks inside an alien spaceship. When Sophie approaches for look through one of the windows, she is still stunned by what she sees: the earth seen from space. She is in a spacecraft, in orbit around the earth. Sophie back and turns to the Daft Punk.

(Sophie): "You .... You are aliens, is not it?"

(Thomas): "Robots specifically, but you're right, we are not native to your planet."

(Sophie): "But then, where you come from?"

(Guy-Manuel): "We come from another planet, located very far from your world. We're arrived in 1993, and since, we live on the earth, and we pretend that we are humans dressed as robots."

(Sophie): "And why you make electro music?"

(Thomas): "It was one of the best ways to go unnoticed with our appearance, but with time, we have begin to appreciate the music we were doing, and we decided to create our own group, taking the name: Daft Punk."

(Sophie): "I always knew you were an exceptional group, and I was right."

(Guy-Manuel): "We must warn you Sophie. Recently, a group of strange men, probably a gang, want to try to capture us. They know our secret. You must promise not to tell to person, otherwise your life will also be in danger, and we do not want. "

(Sophie): "No, I am your biggest fan, and I still. I am braver one might think, and I am ready to help you."

Daft Punk are impressed by the determination of this young girl, they love it. Hesitant at first, they decide to give him a chance and accept help. Then the spaceship begins to turn around the world. Daft Punk are sat behind the steering panel of their spaceship and travel around the earth, to show it to Sophie. The girl looks through the window and is fascinated by the beautiful scenery unfolding before her eyes. She does not clamp or does not rub her eyes, because she knows that this is not a dream. Then, after a very quick trip around the world, the spaceship brings Sophie to her home. They bring the girl in her room. Very tired, Sophie fell asleep in the spaceship. Thomas takes her in his arms and gently laying in her bed. He looks at her for a moment. She looks so peaceful and happy now that she knows the truth about her idols. Then, he returns to the spaceship, which is rapidly receding into the sky.
