Daft Punk: robots after all

Chapter 8: Aerodynamic

In space, a satellite circles the earth. This equipment belongs to the criminal organization of Mr. Spade, and was designed to detect unusual traces of metal and radioactivity worldwide. Passing above the Nevada desert, not far from Area 51, the satellite detects a mass of unknown metal, which is none other than the spaceship of the Daft Punk. In addition, it detects the radiation emitted by the brainwasher. The satellite takes some pictures and sends the coordinates directly to the headquarters of the gang the Black Spades, in Paris. On his computer, one of the henchmen of Mr. Spade receives the informations from the satellite and hastened to communicate to his boss. He enters in the office of Mr. Spade at a run, while the boss quietly smokes. When he sees the man breathless, Mr. Spade looks at him with a rather annoyed look and spoke to him with a menacing voice.

(Mr. Spade): "I hope for you that's important."

(Men): "Excuse me for disturbing you boss, but it must that you look at these pictures taken by our satellite."

Mr. Spade takes the photos and start watching them. His expression changes very quickly. He puts the photos on his desk and smiled cruelly, and then he turned to his henchman.

(Mr. Spade): "Prepare the helicopters. They must go to the Nevada desert, without further delay."

In the desert of Nevada, there are now three days that Daft Punk and Sophie waiting as things settle down and find a better place for hiding the brainwasher. In the spaceship, the group looks on a holographic map of the earth, and seeks the most remote locations and hostile to man, to be sure no human, not even Mr. Spade and his gang, will have the idea to go and look at this place. Guy-Manuel takes a perfect place for it.

(Guy-Manuel): "Well, I find. Antarctica."

Thomas and Sophie think it's a very good idea. Antarctica is a vast desert of ice out of sight, with no human habitation. But to go in this frozen place, Thomas will gets something for Sophie: an arctic suit, a lightweight and comfortable outfit, but ideal to survive in very cold places. Sophie puts the silver armor on her, then she puts the helmet on her head. Now, she looks like also to a space robot. She looks in the mirror to see how she looks with this outfit.

(Thomas): "You look beautiful like that, Sophie. You look like to a female robot of our planet."

(Sophie):"Thanks. This armor is really beautiful, and very hot."

(Guy-Manuel): "This outfit is one of our most advanced. It is equipped with sensors that absorb freshness for transform it into heat and protect your body from the cold and frostbites. The colder it is, and more the armor is effective."

(Sophie): "And you, you do not put armors?"

(Thomas): "We are robots, we can not feel the heat or cold."

The spaceship takes off of the Nevada desert and begins to move towards Antarctica. As always, they are careful not to be spotted by planes that passing overhead. After several hours of flight, the spaceship is now above the ocean. There are currently more than water out of sight. No land, not even a small island. As if this part of the world was remain isolated and that no form of life was there. But suddenly the radar detects two flying shapes that go to them. Guy-Manuel, who is driving, warns the others and asks them to come.

(Thomas): "What happens?"

(Guy-Manuel): "We are followed. Two helicopters."

Sophie looks through one of the windows of the spaceship and saw two black helicopters that follow them, and that approach more and more. Thomas decides to react. He activates the defense systems of the spaceship. Several metal guns out of several places scattered on the spacecraft, and starts shooting energy bursts on the flying machines of Spade. One helicopter was hit by a burst and crashed into the ocean. The second helicopter starts shooting with machine guns on the metal hull of the spaceship. The bullets are felt. The spaceship resists for now. Sophie clings best she can, while Guy-Manuel tries several maneuvers to escape to the helicopter.

The two flying machines arrive over the Antarctica, but the pursuit continues. Then a gun hits the second helicopter, which will crash into a small mountain of ice before exploding.

After destroying the two black helicopters, the spaceship arises slowly on the ice near a high rocky mountain covered with ice. Sophie and Daft Punk go out of the vehicle and take the brainwasher with them. In the distance, they see the smoke of the helicopter that crashed.

(Sophie): "Who were those men and what they want?"

(Thomas): "It was probably the gang of Mr. Spade. They want the brainwasher, and they are well equipped, unfortunately."

(Sophie): "But I wonder how they got to know that we were there."

(Guy-Manuel): "They certainly have a satellite or something like that, to hunt us."

They arrive at the great mountain of ice in the hope of being able to hide the brainwasher. But when they arrive, Thomas heard a strange noise, close. Yet there is nothing. He looks around him without saying a word, and looks worried.

(Guy-Manuel): "Thomas? What happen?"

(Thomas): "We are not alone!"

Suddenly, an electric shock hits Guy-Manuel in the back and the robot falls to the ground, stunned. Sophie and Thomas rushed to see if he's okay. Several men, armed and equipped, go out of several hiding places, and among them, the man who is nicknamed "one-eyed.”

(One-eyed): "Well, it's nice to bring us the brainwasher."

Thomas tries to take his weapon, but one of the men sends an electric shock that hits the robot to the chest. Thomas fell to his knees, weakened. Sophie, horrified, rushed to help him. She kneels beside Thomas, and sheds tears on seeing him like that. He turns to her and looks into her eyes, with love.

(Thomas): "Sophie ...... Save yourself..."

And he falls to the ground, stunned, as his friend. Sophie could not help but shed tears upon seeing her two friends, lying on the ground. She takes the weapon and kills one of the men of Spade, in shooting him in the chest. But two men catch Sophie by the arms and take her weapon. The young woman tries to break free, but these men are too strong for her. One-eyed picks up the brainwasher and stores it in a box, to give it to Mr. Spade. Several men begin to take Thomas and Guy-Manuel in one of the helicopters.

(Sophie): "Do not touch them, bastards!"

(One-eyed): "Enough! She comes also with us."

The men tie the hands of Sophie and take her to the helicopter. The craft took off to fly to France, with the three prisoners on board. One-eyed smiled with cruelty, knowing in advance the reward he will have in giving the brainwasher at Mr. Spade. Meanwhile, in an observatory in Paris, scientists discovered something strange: hundreds of metal objects, which seem to be heading towards the earth at high speed. These are alien spacecraft, an entire army. They also detected the presence of brainwasher on the planet, and are determined to get it back, even if for that, they must destroy all life on earth.
