If A Day Were More Than 24 Hours

My house was on the beach now. If you opened the door to the backyard, you could find a path and then stairs that led down to the water.

Jace and Eli had come over, apparently. I know I was going on a date with Jace, but I can't recall who was with Eli. I gave Jace a hug, and we all went down to the beach.

Except there was another girl with us, so the pairs were uneven. The boys thought she meant no harm.

Down at the water, everyone got in immediately, however I took my time getting my athletic shoes off and gingerly placing my charm necklace in the left shoe. They weren't looking for me or calling me over to hurry, as if they didn't care.

So I made a quick dash and I floated just over the water; I flew, really. I guess my fear of the ocean became more extreme in this dream, as I merely glided over so my hands could touch the salt water and floating seaweed.

But almost immediately, I was called back to shore, although I had reached quite a far point. Apparently they were closing the beach or something. Obediently, I returned and we went back up the stairs.

Simple conversation floated in the air and I ghosted from the group to disappear into my room. We were about to leave to go somewhere soon, but I wanted to change my pants. Well, my whole outfit really.

Jace passed by the closed door and I could hear him calling for me. He nearly left before I cried out to let him know I was still coming.

I can't quite recall all these events chronologically. There was a point where I was with Jace, and I was humming several kpop songs, specifically by Seventeen. We got into the van and Seventeen was playing also.

There was another point at the house where two girls were arguing over one of the twins. I couldn't tell if one of them was supposed to be me or not and if I were seeing the scene play out in third person. The girl who had made the pairs uneven was arguing that we were taking her best friends away--Jace and Eli--but it was argued that she was flirting them away from the people who were actually their dates.

So we're in this van now, Jace driving. And Eli makes this joke with a poem; it was something about anime, manga, and kpop. I think it was this song I listened to where the girl had to explain why she liked anime or something.

I can't remember any of the events that got us up to this next point.

We're at a sort of theme park or amusement park. It's difficult to explain this setting. Jace and I are on this busy street, like the Main Street at Disneyland, and we pass by this lady who's singing these old stories. One of the songs sounds vaguely familiar to me, but I let it pass as Jace escorts me along.

We get aboard this giant car sort of this. It was like the first cars that were invented, except the top was down. All these people were climbing on, Jace and I snugly in the far back. The seats were just all along the perimeter, not in rows. I spotted my friend Katie, hoping she would come sit by my side, but she had Eli with her. One seat left beside me, I saw the old singing woman climb on and she comes to sit beside me.

I was snuggled with Jace, like we had been dating for a while or something, and the woman asked questioned about us like if we were dating and whatnot. Then a passenger on the car requested the woman to sing a song, but she simply kept talking about life and love, giving her advice and wisdom. Then I asked her to sing the song I had found familiar, but it never happened.

It's funny, because I'm sure Jace wouldn't be as huggable as he is in my dream; he's a skinny cross country runner. But that's besides the point.

Going home now, we had to go through this area that was a mix of Ghost Town  from Knott's Berry Farm during Halloween and a common haunted house. I told Jace I was scared of these types of things, so I grabbed onto his hand tightly, but I still went in first.

The sound of an organ echoed in the room, the common vampire theme, and I panicked in my mind (which is kinda trippy) that Jace was the one playing that organ and I was holding someone else's hand. So, I let go and sprinted away and through the maze of horror.

I remember vampire's faces and arms reaching out through walls and even getting cornered at one point. Once I had found the exit, I even directed some strangers to come that way. And I waited, because Jace hadn't come out yet. When he did, he had a sort of zombie look, like he was spaced out. I grabbed his hand and told him I was sorry for leaving him.

We were in an area now where animals filled the space, free to roam anywhere. And it wasn't just baby goats or dogs, but there were tigers and I remember Eli was teasing this really spiky lizard to the point it crawled out of its little cage and tried to grab at him, only falling to the floor and wandering elsewhere.

Then we came across a more appropriate petting zoo, and we had picked up whatever carrots to feed to them. I was especially handling the baby goats, three of them coming up to me. Two of them argued over whatever food I gave them, and another was eating well. Except, one of them had a hard time chewing, no matter how small the pieces I made.

Then they closed, but we weren't paying attention and still had one little goat. It was white with grayish black spots, the one that had a hard time chewing. Eli was occupied with it, and returned it elsewhere once a lady pointed out the fact.

Walking out to the parking lot, it resembled a lot to the lot of the mall near my home. We were passing by all these seniors I knew, dressed up for prom with their corsages and boutonnières.

Jace ran ahead and I went to go catch him. He had gotten to the van almost minutes before me, waiting to open the door for me. As he did, I heard Katie comment how sweet Jace was and that's the end.

EXCEPT there was a scene where we are in a mall at the entrance/exit and the floor is in a downwards slope when you walk in. The space is split in half with a group against the doors and a crowd downhill. Some sort of dance battle was happening. It was kind of irrelevant to the plot of the rest of my dream, but I can't remember the details too well.

Also, I vaguely remember Jace and I getting to slow dance, but maybe I'm just mixing it up with the memory.
