In this weird universe that I dreamt up, the circumstances were basically this: seemingly normal places, people, animals, or objects were I suppose enchanted, covered by a barrier like field, like in the island that was hidden away in Wonder Woman, that would only become known to everyone else when the person or persons it was meant for discovered it. I was somehow, rather than special I would say I had learned how to discover them myself and break through these barriers with enough concentration.

There was the first instance I can remember in my dream in which my two younger sisters and I discovered a hotel. I can't recall whether we were on vacation with family, but it ended up that our parents had been separated from us. For the scenery, I remember simply the grandness of it all: enormous chandeliers hanging from high ceilings, a golden aesthetic, and people dressed for a ball almost as men were dressed in tuxedos and women in their extravagant and elegant dresses. I had had a bad feeling, along with my other sister, but the youngest insisted on participating in the fun and adventure and the luxury, considering that all she's wanted to do was stay in hotels.

There was a man who was leading us around, all I can remember is his salt and pepper hair and the fear I felt whenever I saw him. He would tell us to participate in things and I would be too afraid to refuse him. He even gave us his private suite to stay in for the evening and bid us stay while he continued in some festivities. It was the enchanting feeling like the Lotus place in Percy Jackson. So a maid escorted us into the room, and when I say us I mean only my one sister and I. The youngest had sort of betrayed us in a sense and ignored our bad feelings about the place and went and had fun on her own.

As we were then practically trapped in this room, I noticed the open windows and the view was less than ideal. The sky was the most beautiful blue, yes, but there were old brick buildings with their spouts on the roofs in place of chimneys and the parking lot was that faded black and cracked. And for some reason, I had taken all these pens, holding them as something that was so important and could possibly help us, at least those were my thoughts. And I had more than a handful of them, so when we hid them beneath this pillow I wonder was we were thinking because it had to be impossible to not notice.

Afterwards, I suppose I had finished hiding the pens myself and my sister went ahead and looked around the room because I looked at the drawers to see them all opened and rustled through. These drawers though were exactly like mine, and they have secret drawers at the top that simply look like the decor and design of the furniture. So I decided to search through those and my sister and I heard a soft humming like from the radio and as we looked I discovered a walkie talkie. We scrambled to try and figure it out, turning the volume down but accidentally turning it up and frantically trying to turn it down. I hadn't felt such a panic before as we were fumbling with this device and I kept looking at the door in fear someone would walk in after hearing our commotion and I knew that as I was trying to talk through it my voice was becoming louder and louder. But somehow, we managed to find a signal in which we were in contact with our parents and we were trying to give them our location but we were failing horribly and that's when the man with salt and pepper hair walked in and even though I didn't shed any tears my voice was shaking as if I were sobbing. And I imagine the man was asking us what we were doing, but then all of a sudden my sister and I were on the ground in the parking lot beside the car our parents were in. I was so relieved but I knew the salt and pepper man was coming after us.

I looked up at the hotel and saw our youngest sister looking out from the window and the man yelling or trying to convince her to stay but I urged her to jump and she did just that and she even landed softly, but on her bum.

Then began our getaway. My mom apparently was fumbling with some sort of paperwork so I took the wheel instead and sped off and we somehow ended up in a mall. The problem then became that the vehicle was slowing down and rather than pushing down on the gas I ended up actually pedaling almost like on a bicycle and it was terrible. So we got out of the car and ran; we ran and passed stairs and escalators and ice cream shops and stores with bags until we got to a google center I think. I'm not sure, but in my dream it came on the loudspeaker and introduced that the place had the best food or something like that.

So we spotted an exit: metal automatic sliding doors. We bolted for that and got outside, until we passed this lot that was full of sand and an unfinished wooden play set like at a park, except those are made of metal. Anyhow, it made me stop because as I looked closer I could see the faintest shape of a woman. So I reached my hand out and sort of squeezed and pulled aside what felt like dough which was that enchanted barrier. The colors were swirling like the ones people use for galaxy art; there were greens and purples and black, and it was sparkling. I would halfway break through, but then it would revert to the lot.

I tried several times until I heard a male voice this time, arguing with the woman. It sounded like the woman was trying to tell the guy that it was her duty or responsibility and the guy kept retorting that it's not a responsibility she has to take on or something. And that's when the place was completely unveiled.

There was a tall black metal fence that went all around the lot, pointed at the tops. I had climbed into that area, but the man and woman were simply ignoring me as I assessed the situation. In my head, faint words were being said to me I think, actually telling me what would happen next I suppose because I remember the mention of a lion buried in sand. The voice told me to be careful I think--it was a deep voice that sounded muffled like underwater yet very clear--because I made a move to jump up and climb the fence to the top and hang and balance on the outer side just as this enormous lion emerged from this pile of sand.

The lion was as big as a bulldozer or a fire truck. The woman made one final remark as to how she would do it as the male backed them up against the fence, but it was too late. I remember the male spelled out the word "ate" and the lion even saying a few words but that's escaped my memory. The lion advanced and the male got bitten on his shoulder, lifted into the air and then set down in front of the woman. The lion looked victorious, a smug look across his face. But it was at that particular moment that a tiger that matched its size leapt over the fence and attacked the lion. A crowd had jumped in also and began beating the lion.

In my mind I heard something along the lines of, "and that's how the cowardly lion came to be."

In my dream the man and woman didn't get anymore focus, so the man perhaps had died and the woman wrapt. The woman was beautiful, and looked like Artemis in Saint Seiya but with blonde hair.

I left that area and saw a mob slowly walking up this pavement, one of which was my friend Wynona. I heard dogs barking and at a glance recognized them as a pack of Doberman running. I asked what was going on and she said in a lulled voice if I'd ever seen that many demon wolves before. I looked again in fear and as they went behind and rounded this restroom building like at a park, I now could see them as the wolves they were and hurried to find my family because I had no idea what would happen.

I found my mother and she was climbing this metal structure like at a park in the playground and climbed up to meet with her just as a wolf jumped and pinned her from her back and sniffed something in the back of her neck. It was a sort of tattoo and it said something important, just one word, but I can't remember what it was but it was important to this demon wolf. I, however, started to panic and thought it was the mark for prey, rightfully so since I had just watched a lion maul a guy.

I told my mom to run as I dealt with the wolf, clutched it by his snout and began to interrogate it, saying that I knew he could talk and he should spit it out what the mark means and everything. The wolf was resisted for a while and didn't want to say anything but I guess I started going for a more soothing and soft approach and got an answer; the ones with marks were practically heroes to them and they needed them to fight with them or else everything they had would be lost. I was easily convinced and told him that we needed to find my mother quickly.

We had climbed up a sand dune and then down to see a beach where there were a lot of people and somehow I knew my mom was there. I ran across the beach with the wolf until I found her and told her the story.

Then I woke up.
