Chapter 26 For Chicken Lovers Only

I was lost through the whole thing... I couldn't even make it through a whole minute without crying.

I couldn't get my mind around the fact that my own father was gone... forever. He was the strongest person I knew and someone had to take his life.

But God took his life.. this was Gods plan and he knew it was time for my father to go. He's in good hands right now and will be forever.

I did say my speach... my long speach... and I Cried through the whole thing. But I knew God and my father were there with me. My father smiling down on me and hugging me to death.. hes in a better place and I got to realize that.

I also got to thank Baylor for supporting me. I would of never thought a guy good be so sweet and caring. 

And to think I can call him mine..

Walking slowly over to my fathers grave I place flowers by the grave stone. My fingers trace his name that is in graved. More tears fall. "Daddy I love you so much. " I whisper and stand up. My eyes not leaving the ground.

I am heart broken.

"Shh." Baylor whispers from behind me and wraps his arm around me. Comporting me a little I turn around and barry my head in his neck... leting all my emotions come out.

"I miss him."

- Two Months Later-

I will admit it has been very tough without my dad here... but if I could hear him, I know he would be saying 'Don't worry,  I'm still here'. And that's exactly what I've been doing... not worrying and keep on living life without him.

It might sound bad... but that's what he wants us to do.

I know it is.

So today to get my mind off things, Baylor is taking me out on a date... which I think it is really sweet.

"I still can't believe you and Baylor or dating." Maddy laughs finishing the last bit of my hair. I just laugh at her. I still can't believe its been almost been about 3 months since we first started dating.

"I know.." I trail off. I can't help but blush.

"You two are the cutest together.  Why didn't you guys ever date before?" I've asked myself that too.. I really never knew the answer.

"I guess I was blind... I never really saw what Baylor had to hold for me." I answer truthfully.  Thinking about him makes me melt.

"Stop day dreaming girly! I think I heard the front door open." Maddy rushes me to get my shoes on. I do and then we walk down the stairs... well more like run.

Once we get down I see my -very good looking-  Boyfriend waiting for me. He looks so cute.. his eyes travel from my head to my toe then to my eyes. "Beautiful as always." He smiles and takes my hand.

"Awe! I really need a boyfriend..." Maddy gushes and then heads back up to my room. Baylor and I both laugh. Once shes out of sight Baylor brings me in close and gives me a short but sweet kiss.

"Ewie! PDA! Go get a room! Thanks for making me lose my appetite!" My sister burst out into screaming out of no where.

"You're welcome small child!" I yell back at her with a smile. Baylor just cracks up.

"C'mon lets go before one of you kills each other." I agree with him and we walk hand in hand out to his truck.

He helps me up -I don't know why though- and shuts my door. Once he gets in we are off.

"So, where are we going out to eat?" I ask curiously.  He takes one hand off the steering wheel and puts it in mine. Our fingers intertwine.

"Some Place.." He trials off. I just chuckle at him.

"Fine don't tell me. But it better have chicken! " I love chicken.. like more than a black person... chicken is my life...

"Of course. Just for you." Baylor smiles. I cheer and then I watch as he pulls into this fancy restaurant...

"Baylor!  You didn't have to do this! We could of just staid home and had Ramen Noodles or something! " The only reason I said that was because I know hes going pay for everything.... like always. And I don't want him too.

"Sorry, we can't go back now." I can see the smirk on his face...

"You're a real booger you know." I say jokingly.  He just shrugs and gets out. He opens the door for me and takes my hand to help me out.

We walk hand in hand up to the big fancy doors. He opens it for me and the aroma of chicken fills my nose. "I smell chicken. Lets go."

"You're band from the premises! "

Almost pissing myself, Baylor helps me up. "I can't believe we got kicked out."He laughs. I don't say anything because I'm to busy laughing my ass off.

"How do you accidentally trip and nock over all the soup and salads? " Baylor questions me still laughing along.

"I don't know *Laugh* but I'm about to die." I laugh some more and then look at Baylor.  "Thank you for making my day." I say truthfully. Baylor wraps his arms around me.

Even though we are standing in a parking lot I lean in and kiss him. Our lips move in sync... The kiss is gentle, but I can't find any courage to break it. I want to kiss him forever.

In a way.. I guess I am happy that all of this happened..I mean, we wouldn't be together because of that.

If he didn't break that pinky promise...
