After the wedding, everyone cheered with delight at the Avatar's marriage to Katara. Everyone was there, all of their friends and Katara's relatives. She even wore her mother's wedding dress. Sokka ate most of the buffet while Hakoda was so proud of his daughter, claiming she was all grown up now. Aang was packing up Appa as Katara was in her tent taking off her bandages. Her wounds were healed by now but she still had Silver Moon's disease. She was managing it very well, but was still trying to get used to having it. Aang walked in, Katara quickly tying her top back on.

"You ready to go back to the Air Temple?"Aang asked. Katara grabbed her bag and nodded.

"Yes. Are you ready, Mr. Avatar Husband?" She said while giggling a little. Aang blushed as he rubbed the back of his head.

"I still have to get used to being a husband I guess..." he said. Katara pulled him in for a hug.

"And I have to get used to being your wife. I can't wait to get started." She said. Aang rested his head on hers. Hakoda walked in, with a wrapped present.

"Before you guys head off, I wanted to give you this." Hakoda handed Katara the gift wrapped in furs. She went over and hugged her father.

"I love you Dad." She said as she started to tear up. Hakoda smiled.

"I love you too Katara. Always have, always will." He said. They separated as Katara went over to Aang. Hakoda held out his hand to Aang. When Aang accepted, Hakoda pulled him into a quick man hug and let go.

"Take care of my daughter Aang." He said in a serious tone. Aang subtly nodded and took Katara by the hand. They bowed and left the tent, waving to everyone in the village as they hopped on Appa.

"We are here." Aang said, nudging for Katara to wake up. She slowly opened her eyes as she stretched and yawned as she sat up. She saw the sun setting over the Air Temple. She must have slept for for 8 hours or so, at least she was well rested. Aang landed Appa as he helped Katara get off with their stuff. After a few minutes of Aang putting Appa and Momo in the stables and Katara unpacking their supplies and clothes. She made her way upstairs, seeing their new room in which they would share as a married couple. She paced around the room, staring outside the window. She saw trees and mountains, vast plains and green valleys as the amber sun was setting in the west. She heard the door creak as Aang stepped in, closing the door behind him as he stood there and blushed. Katara stroked a lock of her hair as she blushed as well.

"So, now that we are married..." Katara said as she ran her hand across the bed sheet. Aang nervously chuckled.

"We don't have to, I understand if you want to wait until-" Aang was cut off by a kiss from Katara. She separated as they still held hands.

"That is so sweet of you Aang, but I believe I am ready. Are you?" She asked. He smiled as he quickly kissed her cheek.

"I am." He said. Katara turned around and swept her hair over her shoulder.

"Can you untie me?" She asked. He kept blushing as he slowly unhooked the silk loop from the lotus button on the back of her dress and untied the ribbon, letting her dress fall to the floor. He gulped a little. After a few minutes of taking off their clothes and kissing each other, and Aang's closeness of getting a nosebleed from seeing Katara naked, they made their way to the bed. Aang held himself into position on top of Katara as they continued to kiss, tongues dancing with each other and Aang's hand holding onto her bare waist as she gripped the nape of his neck.

"You're so beautiful Katara." He said, kissing her neck. She felt her chest press against him, her crossing her legs together in anticipation.

"You're handsome yourself. I'm so nervous and excited, you?" She said laughing a little. Aang positioned himself better between her legs, sweating a little.

"I'm the same. You ready?" He said looking down and up again. She held onto him tighter.

"I'm ready." He kissed her and than began. From the first move, Katara helped in pain which caused Aang to react by pausing.

"You ok?!" He said, not moving at all. She nodded and exhaled.

"Y-yes. I was told It's supposed to hurt for a bit, I'm fine." She said. Aang continued, the pain going away after several seconds. Aang gripped the end of the bed as they went a bit faster. Moans and gasps escaped them before after several minutes, Aang rolled over, panting and sweating along with Katara as she rested her head on his chest as he wrapped his arm around her. They both laughed and smiled at each other as they kissed a few times, separating real quick to still catch their breath. They soon caught up with their breathing and looked at each other.

"That was fun." Katara said. They both laughed as he pulled her in closer. Their bare skin sticking to each other as they cuddled under the blanket.

"Yeah, I can't believe I got to do that with you." He said resting his head on top of Katara's head.

"We can always do it again whenever we want too." She said, interlocking her fingers with his. He smiled.

"I love you Katara." He said. Katara kissed his cheek as she closed his eyes.

"I love you too Aang." She replied before dozing off quickly. Aang closed his eyes too, basking in how lucky he was to have Katara as a wife, a partner, and his best friend.
