"Oi, Saku, you ready to go?" Renji, one of my wolves, asked me with a raised eyebrow. He never did like this place, the rest of the pack also agreed with him.
"Yeah, let's go." I say, my voice quiet.
Renji gazes after me as I disappear into the undergrowth. "Come on" I call back to him, "Or I'll leave you behind."
"I'm coming, sheesh.... someone overdosed on pocky sticks," He grumbled. Smiling faintly, I paused and turned back to him.
"You're just jealous you can't have any," I retorted with light tap on his nose, causing him to sneeze and scowl at me.
"... shut it... brat..."
"Maybe I don't wanna." Sticking out my tongue, I shot off.
And for once? I didn't look back to the wooden gates.
