Clouded Judgement (One Direction Fanfiction)

Chapter Five.

Okay you guys this chapter is a bit of a bitch, i was quite distracted while writing this. it's also quite short, a filler kind of. so don't mind. 

"I'm sorry Ree.. Maybe I was out of line but, it's better if you wait."

"Niall said something didnt he? That's why you did that? Listen I'm not mad babe, just slightly shocked that he could rope me in so easily. I'm glad you opened the door." Ree's heart was still thumping, her ears buzzing with confusion.

"Yeah I spoke to Niall, he said that Zayn was a great guy and all that, and he hadn't just slept around for ages but he had before. It's not his nature but.. I just wanted to be careful Ree. I'm feeling bad. You sure it's okay?"

"Positive Essie. I'm just.." her voice trailed off as her phone began to buzz. Her breath clinched as she read the text.

"Friday, 7pm? xx"

Her heart leapt up her throat and out of her mouth and fell on the floor. Where it still lay thumping so hard Ree was sure Essie could hear it.

"what? Why have your eyes enlarged.. Ree.. God.. stop Ree! That's so creepy!"

"He texted, Friday 7pm? Should I.."

"Yes! Ofcourse you should. He's not a bad guy love, just be careful. Like you are with all guys! Don't worry, I give you all my blessing."

Ree smiled and tapped in her message and pressed send.

"Sure, wanna tell me where this time? xx"

Barely a heartbeat passed when her phone beeped.

"Under the stars. You'll love it, I promise xx"

"Looking forward to it :)x"

Another moment..

"i Look forward to seeing you."

The 'x' was missing from his text, implying the seriousness of his words. Ree wanted to get up and jump all over her bed.

"Shh, I'll see you Friday then xx"

He replied with a smiley and Ree decided not to reply, not wanting to irritate him too much.

Thursday came and went. The day was tiresome and elongated, and pushed all sorts of limits. Ree got down to doing her coursework, called her parents in Ireland, made pasta with Essie, and also managed to squeeze in some lingerie shopping. She went to bed early after a bucket of Rocky Road and a cute chick flick with Essie.

When Friday arrived, Ree was rudely awoken by Essie  bouncing on her bed and yelling her name.

"REEEEE GET THE FUCK UPPPPPPP."

"Fuck off Ess!" grumbled Ree groggily, rubbing her eyes.

"Are you excited? You have a date tonight! With Zayn! Aww."

"Get out." complained Ree.

"Be excited!"

"No."

"But-"

"No."

"Ree!"

"No!" cried Ree and pushed Essie out of her room. Then collapsed on the bed.

After bathing, changing and straightening her hair Ree walked out of the room to find Essie sitting on the table, eating.

"Bacon! Gimme some." exclaimed Ree.

"No."

"But-"

"No."

"Essie!"
