My eyes fluttered open from the light coming out of my window. It was a sunny, Saturday morning, and the school year had just ended. I had everything planned for this summer to be the best one yet. I was going to hang out with my best friend Maddie everyday, go on magical adventures, and go swimming at least 100 times.

But on the second last day of school, my parents told me that I was going to camp the whole summer to, "get out of the house more." I was completely furious that my whole summer was ruined. I'm not going to know anyone there, and I've never been to a camp before. Interrupting my thoughts, my mum shouts from the bottom of the stairs,

"Mills! Are you ready yet? The bus will be here soon!"

"I'm just packing! I'll be down in a second!" I replied.
After I said that, I hopped out of bed and grabbed the biggest duffle bag I owned. I shoved as much clothes as possible into my bag, along with bathing suits, shoes, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, elastics, bug repellent, sunscreen, my phone, a charger, my headphones, and my favourite Lokai bracelets. I quickly changed out of my pyjamas into some comfy sweatpants, and my favourite red crop top. I quickly brushed my hair, grabbed my bags, and headed downstairs for some breakfast.

"I made your favourite, eggos with OJ," My mum said. I happily gobbled my eggos and drank my orange juice. Just as I was finishing, the bus arrived at the bus stop, waiting for me to get in.

"My bus is here," I said with an upset tone. My mum and dad come running out with my little sister Ava, to say goodbye.

"Goodbye Millie! I'm going to miss you!" Ava said.

"I'll miss you too, little one. Don't have too much fun!" I tickled her belly to make her giggle. I hug and kiss my parents goodbye, and walk out of the front door to the bus.

The bus driver opens the door and grabs my bags to put them in the storage compartment. When I walk up the stairs to the bus, almost all of the seats were taken. They're were so many kids on board, talking and laughing. They all probably went to camp together in the past few years, so they were catching up. I walked down a few of the rows until a space was open, beside a girl with fiery red hair.

"Do you mind if I sit beside you?" I asked.

"Woah! You're British! Neat accent! Yeah, you can sit here, if you want," she replied back. It sounded like she's never heard of a British accent before, which is weird. I sat beside her and she stuck out her hand to shake.

"Hi, I'm Sadie, you are?"

"Millie. Nice to meet you!" We shook hands and Sadie Laughs at my accent again. Just as I was about to grab my phone, she said,

"Hey Millie, I haven't seen you around here before, are you new?"

"Yeah, this is my first time going to camp," I replied back.

"That's okay! I can introduce you to all of my friends. They should be at the next stop," she rambled on.

"What are their names?"

"Well there's Caleb, Noah, Gaten and Finn. They're all really nice, I think you'll like them," she said. For a good ten minutes, Sadie talked about camp and how I will really like it there. Maybe this won't be as bad I thought it would be.

Five minutes later the bus comes to a stop and four boys enter the bus.

"Hey Sadie!" They all said in unison. She said hello back, and Introduced them to me.
