Chapter 11 | Coincidental Shopping Pt 2

Jungkook POV

I really wasn't putting any effort into finding a nice outfit. I just wanted to get this over with.

I couldn't say I wasn't excited, but it wasn't up to the level of everyone else. Sure they seemed like cute girls. But we're both doing this for the sake of popularity right? So what's the point? Is our pure talent not enough? Do our ARMYs not even care about our talent at all anymore?

I do think, and I really hope I'm just overreacting. I'm probably just having one of those paranoid days again.

As I was looking around the store, I heard someone hummimg from afar. The tune sounded like the song "We Don't Talk Anymore" I love that song, and her humming sounded incredibly pleasant. I decided to risk it and start singing the first lyric to the song out loud.

"We don't talk anymore, we don't talk anymore. We don't talk anymore, like we used to do."

I heard a soft giggle come out of her, she continued singing the lyrics,

"We don't love anymore. Oh what was all of it for? Oh we don't talk anymore, like we used to do."

I was mesmerized. She sounded incredible, but odly familiar. I wanted to turn around, but couldn't risk her might knowing who I was. Plus, I liked the feeling of not knowing how she looked. It added a nice feeling of mystery.

Before I knew, we ended up finishing the song as I sang the last line,

"Oh it's such a shame, that we don't talk anymore."

I was startled to hear clapping. I completely forgot I was at a shopping mall. Shit, what if someone recognized my voice? Nah they would've said something.

I heard the girl's footsteps toward the exit indicating that she was leaving.

"H-hey w-wait," I don't know what went over me but I turned around and tried following her. She didn't hear me, but I did catch a short glimpse of her. She was tall and had blonde hair.

Just from those few seconds, I could already tell she was beautiful...

Lisa POV

Lisa what were you thinking?? Someone could have recognized your voice! God that was stupid of me. Too bad people clapping was what woke me up. I have to admit though, the guy sang really soothingly. His soft voice though... I feel like I've heard it somewhere before. Sigh... It's better if I forget about that.

I looked down at the bag I had in hand. I was pretty satisfied with what I found. It was a white crop top with some pastel blue pants. I think it's really cute. ♡♡ ^-^

I looked at the time. Oops it's almost time to meet up with the other girls. I groaned as my feet started to hurt from all the walking I had done.

Taehyung POV

I'm so excited for tomorrow! I'm really happy we will be able to meet Blackpink! But come to think of it, I could've just worn whatever I already had. But of course our increasing popularity and wealth gives us the privilege to buy stuff we don't need right?? Lmao idk what you're saying. Ughhh Gucci is life tho.

I chose a baggy white dress shirt with some skinny navy blue pants and a matching velvet choker. I made my way to the fitting rooms, I felt like I stepped on something. I looked down and saw a necklace. I reajusted my mask and picked it up. It was a beautiful gold necklace with the initials "J.K" that had amazingly detailed flowers engraved around the letters. I tried getting up but was met with another forehead. I mentally groaned as I felt my head start to throb.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry! Are you hurt?" It was a female, with a cute accent.

"Yes I'm fine, but--" As I looked up my words stopped. Those almond shaped eyes, I've seen them somewhere. But where? Oddly enough, she also had the same mask I had on...

She must have noticed me staring because she said, "Umm, that's my necklace hehe. Can I get it?"

"Oh s-sure! Here you go." I said as I handed her the necklace.

"Thank you." She replied as she quickly stood up and started walking away.

"W-wait!" I started, and she turned around. "You're eyes are really pretty."

She stayed standing there, and for awhile I was worried she would be thinking I'm a creepy weirdo. Well I kinda am but...

My smile was hidden by my mask when I saw that she made a heart gesture with her hands. She was so cute, too bad I can't see her face. And then she walked away.

I wonder if I'll ever get to see her again...

Jennie POV

That moment back there by the fitting rooms, the stranger was so adorable! I'm so glad he found my necklace though. My parents gave it to me when I turned 10 so it meant a lot to me. Especially now since I don't see them a lot.

I find it odd how he had a hoodie on and a mask to cover his face though. Well, he probably thought the same thing about me too.

Anyways, all my mind has been focused on lately is that dinner with BTS we're having. I'm trying to make it seem like I don't care but I'm genuinely very nervous. I hope I look good in the outfit I bought though. I didn't waste all this money so I can look homeless. It was a black, form-fitting dress with a turtleneck collar. I thought it was chic and sexy so I got it.

Let's see how tomorrow goes...

A/N: LMAO I TRIED TO MAKE CUTE MOMENTS BETWEEN THEM BUT IT WAS SO HARD TO DO IT WITH THEM NOT RECOGNIZING EACH OTHER SO I HAD TO MAKE THEM DUMB AF.
ALSO about who Jennie will be paired up with... I can't decide. Ik i made it seem like she would be paired with yoongi from the beginning but i felt like a moment with tae felt so much nicer for me to write so now im not so sure... i really like her with tae too so PLZ GIVE ME YOUR OPINION IDK WHAT TO DO.
