So I hope you guys love the first chapter. I'm trying to do this thing where I slowly introduce you to all of Alex's friends and family. But if you want I can put up a bonus page that's talks about all her friends, family and enemies. Tell me which one you prefer by commenting. Read on.

Alex POV

"School is finally over, yes!!!" I shouted. I jumped and punched the air in excitement. I turned towards my best female friend and held her by the shoulders. "Do you know what this means George?" I asked her.

She looked up at me and gave me a sad look. "Of course I know what this means. It means no school for two months, which means no homework, no teachers, and no classes for two months."

"Exactly!!!" I shook her shoulders. When I realised she wasn't smiling, I looked at her. "Why aren't you happy about it?" I asked.

She moved away from me and swung her backpack over her shoulder. "Because that is not a good thing. Who would want to stay home for two months, doing nothing but eating food, gaining weight, watching tv and letting your brain rot?"

"Uh every kid in America duh! You say that like it's a bad thing. Or what, you prefer sitting in class for hours on end listening to a teacher talk about something you barely understand and may never use?"

"Yes!!! It's called learning! At least then I'm doing something constructive!"

I backed away from her and gave her an incredulous look. "You...are crazy."

"No I'm not." She said simply.

"Yes you are." I started walking away and she followed. "You are the only person I know who's never excited about summer vacation. I understand being intelligent or studious or whatever but do you really have to hate every holiday that takes you away from school?" I asked.

"I don't hate it. I'm just not into it. I'm into certain things and summer vacation is not one of them."

"Crazy girl." I mumbled. "Sometimes", I said out loud "I wonder how we're friends."

She stopped walking. I turned around to see her face and she had a look on it that I couldn't place. I couldn't tell if she was mad or constipated. She didn't say anything and walked past me. I narrowed my eyes at her and after a while I sighed and followed her.

She was mad but I wouldn't apologize. She knows by now that I'm the brutally honest type and I can't stand her goody two shoes, 'I'm-an-A-student, I'm-gonna-change-the world' type attitude. Sometimes I'm truly amazed at how close we are despite our differences. Let her be mad, I spoke my mind and I'm not backing down. She is crazy for hating summer vacation.

She was walking fast and deliberately trying to get rid of me. I knew where she was headed and when I couldn't see her short brown hair through the crowd anymore, I didn't care 'cause I knew where she was going.

I soon found her leaning against my brother's locker, she was biting her lips and her eyes were closed. My twin brother Theo was beside her, obviously trying to find out what was wrong with her.

I came closer and was immediately accosted by my brother.

"What did you do to her?" He asked.

"Nothing. What makes you think I did something?"

"Because whenever I call your name she does some kind of snort. Watch." He turned to George and asked "Did Alex do something?"

She snorted and looked away from the both of us. Theo looked at me and raised an eyebrow as if to say 'see what I mean.'

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "She hates summer vacation." I said simply.

"And?" He implored.

"I said she was crazy for hating it and that I'm surprised we're even friends considering the fact we have nothing in common." I waited to see if he'd get mad too but to the surprise of everyone, he laughed.

"Its not funny!" shouted George.

"It is. It is." He said still laughing. When he calmed down, he cleared his throat and said "Frankly, I'm surprised you two are friends too and let's be honest, you've gotta be really crazy to hate summer vacation. It's one of the best school holidays, next to it is spring break."

"See?! I'm right!" I said.

George frowned at the both of us. "I'm not surprised, of course you take her side she's your twin sister."

"Is she? I never realised." He said, smirking slightly.

I smiled proudly. "Excellent use of sarcasm baby brother."

"I learnt from the best." He said, giving a little bow. Mid-bow, he paused and looked up. "Did you just call me 'baby brother'?!"

"Did I? I never realised." I said, giving a smirk of my own.

"God, I hate you. I keep telling you. We're twins, twins! You're only a minute older, you don't call me little brother or baby brother or baby bro or little bro or the most annoying of all...little peanut." He said through gritted teeth.

George and I burst out laughing. "L-little p-p-peanut!" said George, laughing so hard tears were falling from her face.

"Oh wow! Alex you're so mean." She said. I smiled. Something tells me she wasn't mad anymore.

I looked over at her, "You're not mad anymore?"

"Nah, I'm not mad anymore. I'm pretty crazy, everyone knows that." She said good-naturedly.

I sighed in relief. I know I said I wouldn't apologize but I kinda hate it when she gets mad at me.

I started walking backwards. "And don't ever forget it either." I inclined my head towards my brother. "Come on little peanut, you ready to go yet?"

He frowned and stopped walking "What's my name?"

"What?" I asked, slowing down.

"What's my name? It's not little peanut, so what is it?"

I smiled a little evilly. "You're right its not little peanut." When he relaxed his face, I couldn't help but add, 'Its baby brother.'

George started laughing all over again, making Theo flush in embarrassment. He looked at me and mouthed, "I'm gonna get you"

"You gotta catch me first." I ran off laughing, thinking my brother was right behind me trying to get me. I looked over my shoulder to see if he was behind me but then I bumped into something.

"Oof!" I said as I landed on my butt. The person I bumped into was obviously a girl because I heard her scream 'No! This was my favourite top! I'm going to kill who did this!"

When the person turned around to see who bumped into her, I looked up. My words of defence immediately died in my throat when I looked into her face.

"Shit! It's HER!"
