Song: Here by Alessia Cara

I had no idea where we were going. All i knew was we were going somewhere. Jessica was speeding which was unnecessary, we were still in the neighborhood and the sound of her motorcycle engine would not be a welcome sound to all the sleepy elders.

"You okay back there?" Jessica asked, shouting over the engine of the motorcycle.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Umm if you don't mind my asking, where the hell are we going?" I shouted back.

She laughed. "Relax. You'll love the place, trust me.

I sighed. It's not very easy to trust a person you don't even know.

Jessica shouted over the engine again. "We're almost there. Just hold on tight."

True to her words, we arrived at our destination. She slowed and parked her motorcycle in front of this really big house. I'm sorry, did I say house? I meant mansion!

"Who the fuck lives here? The president's cousin?!" I said. I took off my helmet and got off the motorcycle.

She laughed and took off her helmet. "Nah. Some rich kid and his parents. He's a dickhead but he throws really cool parties."

A party? The sound of loud music reached my eardrums. I should have guessed that's where we were headed, a party.

She took my hand, "C'mon let's go. The fun is inside the house not outside it." She said laughing.

Immediately I got in, I knew this was a bad idea. I didn't know anyone here, the music wasn't my kind of music and everything was just off.

Jessica let go of my hand and I lost her in the crowd, in the midst of teenage boys and girls swaying to the music. Now I was left alone to navigate in this sea of hormones...great.

Somehow I was able to find my way to kitchen of this huge palace. Some guy was mixing drinks so I took a cup. He gave me a weird look like 'did you see your name on that?'

I rolled my eyes. "Take it from me if you dare." He shrugged and went back to what he was doing. I sighed and sat down on the floor in from of the fridge with the cup in my hands.

This seemed like a good idea at first but now I regret it. I thought I needed something to get my mind off what happened tonight but I actually just need to be alone. The worst place to be alone is a mansion full of teenagers bopping to music, being fuelled by alcohol and hormones. I have nothing against parties or people who party, its just that this isn't my kind of thing and Jessica left me here by myself. Some first impression she just made on me.

I took a drink from the cup in my hand then leaned my head against the fridge, trying to block out the music because it was giving a a headache. My eyes were closed so I couldn't see anything around me.

Someone tapped my shoulder. I groaned, I was trying to be alone here! When I opened my eyes and looked up, I saw this really cute guy with spiky blonde hair. He smiled.

"Hey. What are you doing here? The party's over there." He said pointing to the living room.

"Not interested." I said. I kept my answer short and blunt, hoping he'll understand and leave me alone.

"Why not? The party's amazing!"

I brushed my dark hair out of my eye and tucked it behind my ear. "If it's so great, what are you doing over here?"

He smiled and leaned against the fridge beside me. "Trying to get you to dance with me duh."

I stood up. "You're kinda slow aren't you? I'm sitting by myself in a kitchen when there's a party going on in the living room, that obviously shows I'm so interested in the party that's going on right? Just leave me alone. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, I'm just trying to be alone." I said, looking away from him.
