Mason opened his eyes gasping for air and coughing. He felt Clary's hand on his back and he looked up. Jace, Izzy and Clary were beside him. He looked and he was on the floor beside the pentagram. Magnus walked over and smiled at him. "Good you're alive. It's such a waste when cute male shadowhunters die" he said walking a way.
"Thank you?" Mason said more in a questioning tone.
"I thought we lost you" Clary said holding his arm. He looked around realized Alec wasn't there. Izzy noticed and gave him a weak smile.
"We should get back to the institute" Jace said getting up holding a hand out for Clary which she gratefully took. Izzy helped Mason up and hooked her arm on his and they left.
BACK AT THE INSTITUTE
When they went back and Mason decided to sit in Clary's room with her. They were having a normal conversation until Clary touched her necklace and went into a trance. It only lasted for a couple seconds and she was back and Mason was giving her a questioning look. "I saw Valentine" She said looking at him with a worried expression on her face. Jace came in and she told him all about it and gave him the necklace. He held it up and looked at it.
"And he spoke to you?" Clary nodded.
"He said my name" Clary started. Mason could see Alec begin to come into her room. "He said you'r mother for the cup"
