Scroll 9: Tournament Opening

Trunks looked around the time machines searching for Krow. "He should be here by now," trunks said to himself. Then a time machine begins to appear and trunks can see krow and someone else inside. The hatch opens and krow jumps out and stands before trunks. "Hey Trunks. I'd like for you to meet my dad," after krow said that the man hops down from the time machine. Standing before trunks was a tall saiyan with black spiky hair, his saiyan tall wrapped around his waste, he was wearing saiyan armor without the shoulder pads. "You must be Trunks. The name's Endife," his voice was deep and he held out his hand. Trunks shakes it and says "Its nice to meet you Mr. Endife." Endife smiled and says "Just call me Endife. I'm not much for all the mr stuff." Trunks nodded and they began to walk towards the plaza. "So did Drake visit you dad," krow asked. "He did but we just sat and drink together watching the fields.," Endife said. Krow sighs and says " At least he visited." Trunks looked over at krow and Endife and says " Krow you should go ahead and get signed up for the tournament before there's no more spots left." Krow nods and says "I'll see you all in the stands." Endife smiles as krow took off flying. "So i guess i'll show you around until the tournament starts," trunks said and started to show Endife around the two having conversations about the time patrol and Krow and Drake.

Krow landed in front of the tournament arena. Several tables with lines of patrollers signing up for the tournament. Krow gets in line. Standing behind a short, Dark-Red and Light-Blue, frost demon with a Bronze-Robotic arm. He had some kind of tool working on his arm. Krow couldn't help but watch the frost demon work on his arm. After awhile he notices krow looking over his shoulder and turns around to look at him . "So you like what i did with my arm," the frost demon asked krow. His voice was light and a bit high pitch. "Yeah. You're the first person I seen with cybernetics. Its cool looking," krow said to him. "The names Shiver and you are Krow. One of the elite members of the time patrollers. I look forward to joining your ranks," he said and held out his hand and Krow shakes it. "You sound sure that you'll make it into the elite. It'll be hard," Krow said to shiver. Who just smiled and said "I know I will be elite. I know I'm destined to be." A patroller behind Krow and shiver point out the two are up next for the sign up. "Sorry about that," Krow said to the other patrollers. Shiver walked up and wrote his name in and went though all the required paper. Krow did the same. After Krow got done with the papers he went out of line and went to wait in waiting room and sat down. The room was fulled with time patrollers sitting down waiting for the results for the preliminaries. Shiver was sitting in a chair working on his arm. Krow leaned back into his chair and waited for the results. After a hour of waiting krow hears a filmier voice. "Hey there krow," the voice said. Krow opened his eyes and he saw Philip. Krow smiled and says "Nice to see ya big guy.I hope we get a rematch during the tournament." Philip smiles and takes a seat beside him. "They finished adding in all the names and stuff. They should be close for the preliminaries. I hope we're in the same batch for it," philip said as he tried to get comfortable in the small chair. "so wheres C. Bean at," krow asked philip. Philip shrugs and says "We split up after we signed up. She wanted to see the arena and get a idea for how the fights will be for. I prefer for getting the surprise." Krow nodded in agreement and says "Drake is going to take part of the Tournament. I bet he will make it though the first round without a sweet." Philip nodded and says "I hope i will be in the same area as him." Krow looked at him and asks why. Philip raised his fist in front of his face and says "I have trained long and hard. Fighting the warrior of space and time would be a great test of my training. " krow smiled. Excited to see that his Friend is pumped for the tournament. Then the screen turns on and chrona is on screen. "Hello members of the time patrol," she said. Everyone in the room went quiet to listen to her. "The preliminaries will be held in a large open arena. Out of the 800 of you are going to be split up into 4 groups of 200 and put into one of the arenas. The last 2 standing will move onto the next round. After the preliminaries the tournament will be one on one matches," she said. Then the room begin to fill with a blue light. Everyone looked up at the lights. "Now let the tournament begin," she said right before everyone was teleport-ed.

Krow stands in the middle of a waste land. The wind blows though the rocks and cliffs. "Hm alright this will be fine," he said. he takes off into the air. He senses a ki blast coming from behind him he dodges it and the blast hits a cliff side. Krow sees who shot it. It was a Tall Namekian with a turban on his head. His armor was shorts and a vest with a cape flapping in the wind. He gave a wicked smile at krow.

Meanwhile at the arena the spectators watched from the stands and look at several large floating screen showing battles. Each and one of the spectators were cheering for a patrol they knew or thought can win. Elder kai and Chrona sit from their stands watching the battles from their sits. Trunks walks in with Endife flowing him. Chrona turns around and smiles and walks over to say hello to Endife. "Nice to meet the father of krow and drake," chrona said to him. "It is nice to meet you too," Endife says. Endife takes a seat beside trunks and Chrona and watch the tournament.
