Sorry kinda short and boring the next chapter will be better! I just needed something to add before more things go down
I lay there in my bed still crying till I decide to get up and figure out where I'm gonna stay, because I'm not staying here with Todd being here. If I would stay he's just gonna bitch at me for not being home and what not. I decide to call Mia because she is my best friend and I haven't hung out with her in a while, cause I was always with Sam. I hum to her ringtone and wait for her to pick up.
"Hello?"
"Hey it's me!" I say still crying.
"Katie are you ok?" Mia asks concerned.
"Yeah, well no!" I say whipping the tears from my eyes.
"What's wrong?"
"Well me and Sam was up stairs and we heard a knock on the door and Sam went to see who it was and he was taking a while so I looked out the window and I seen Tabbys car and when Sam came back up I asked who was there and he lied to me and we got in a fight and I left." I say crying even more.
"It's ok! Y'all will work things out!" Mia tells me to try and comfort me
"Anyways I was wondering if I could stay with you a couple days till me and Sam gets stuff worked out, because I'm not staying here after the fight I had with Todd!"
"Yeah you can stay, my mum won't care!"
"Thanks so much! It means a lot to me!"
"Yup anytime!"
"Do you think I could ride Midnight over and keep her in your barn?"
"Yeah!"
"Alright I gotta pack and then I'll be over!"
"K bye"
I hang up and start to pack my bag. I'm so happy I can stay, we need to catch up anyway. She's such a good friend, she's always been there for me. After I pack my bag I get carrots out of the fridge for Midnight and I write my mum a note letting her know I took her and will bring her back soon. After that I go and saddle her up. I got down the drive way then turn right into the little dirt road. I go for about a mile then make another right onto a little warn down path that takes me onto a road close to Mia's property. When I get there I unsaddle my horse and brush her down before putting her in a stall. I walk in the back door and go up to Mia's room.
"Hey glad you made it!" Mia smiles and gives me a hug.
I hug her back and set my stuff down on the floor.
"It really means a lot, letting me stay here and all!"
"Anything for my best friend!"
"I'm so lucky to have you as my best friend!"
"Yes you are! Now lets go do something fun to get your mind off things!"
"Ok!"
'When are you coming home? And be careful and next time call me and ask me to take one of the horse somewhere else!!' - mum
'Ok! And I'm not coming home if Todd is there!!' - Katie
'Todd's not here!' - mum
'Well I'm at Mia's so I might come home tomorrow!' - Katie
'Alright love you'- mum
'Love you too' - Katie
"My mum said we can go shopping!" Mia says excitedly
"Sounds good!"
We run down stairs and get into Mias car and head to the mall
