I woke up early at around 7 like I normally did. It was odd having an extra roommate but everyone else was sleeping. I went down to the prefect bathrooms and took a shower. Before I put on a black dress that came to my knees and a jean jacket with my boots which gave me a bit of a lift. When I came back to the room to grab my bag everyone was dressed and ready for Hogsmead.

"Ryder, are you sure you don't want to lend us your broom expertise today?" Teddy grinned.

"Yes, I am sure. I have errands to run." I said "I'll meet with you later, how about that." I sighed.

"Perfect. Then we can show Jenna around and meet you later." Wendy said. "But seriously Ryder what you are doing." She said, raising an eyebrow. I pursed my lips together.

"I'm really not doing anything. I need to run errands." I sighed.

"I don't believe you but we have to get downstairs." Wendy said. I rolled my eyes. We went to the courtyard where Professor Longbottom was with Professor Granger waiting for us to all hurry up and get down there. I looked over to the corridor window where Scorpius was sitting with Albus.

It didn't take long for him to notice me and wink and I blushed looking away from him as well as all of his sly glances.

"Alright do we have everyone?" Professor Longbottom said counting. Professor Granger nodded. "Good let's go." He said. And so we were off.

At hogs was:

"Ryder when will you meet us?" Teddy asked.

"Umm, I'm not sure. I will meet you though." I nodded. Teddy nodded suspiciously.

I usually didn't keep anything from the 2 of them. But this was different. This was deeply important to me and I didn't want anything to mess it up. Especially not with their childish reservations on Slytherins. I waved goodbye and walked toward the bookstore. Before getting out of their sight and simply apparating where Scorpius was already waiting with a backpack on his shoulders.

"Ryder did you just use magic out of school." He scoffed.

"Oh shut up I'm 17." I shrugged. He chuckled at me pushing back his hair

"Come on, I've got quite a day planned." He smirked. I laughed. Scorpius grabbed my hand and walked with me toward the shrieking shack. I squinted at him.

"Where are we going?" I asked him.

"Well you said that you didn't want your friends to know about us yet and so I had an idea." He grinned at me.

"What do you mean you had an idea." I scoffed.

"You'll see, don't ruin the surprise." Scorpius said, smiling.

"Isn't the shrieking shack abandoned and going to it is trespassing." I said to him.

"Well the Malfoys have recently acquired the property. Last time I checked, I was Scorpius Malfoy so that's that. My father wanted me to check on it anyways so" He shrugged as we walked into the passageway and to the shack.

The shrieking shack was a dark thing and extremely run down. Even the ghosts wouldn't go near it.

"Mr. Malfoy, I believe you're trying to kill me." I said to him, raising an eyebrow. He laughed.

"Never Miss Cambridge." He smirked. He looked at me a moment. "You know I don't quite like your last name." He said as we got closer to the shack. I squinted at him.

"And what would you prefer it to be. My last name is quite regal mind you." I scoffed.

"I think I would prefer it to be Malfoy." He grinned. I felt myself blush deeply before I shoved him. He chuckled and smiled at me.

"God sake." I scoffed at him. We got to the entrance of the shack and Scorpius pulled out his wand from his coat.

"quondam multo faciet bella usque ad domum aspicienti." He chanted moving his wand in precise and quick motions.

"What?" He smirked.

"What spell book did you find that in." I scoffed.

"My father taught it to me. He invests in many properties, I believe he wishes to turn this one into a hotel." Scorpius replied.

"Mhm." I nodded as he walked up the stairs and opened the door for me. "Thank you," I said to him, smiling softly.

"Of course." He smirked. "My father may be a bit distant but one thing he did teach me is how to treat a woman correctly."

I laughed and smiled at him as I looked around at the house.

"How do you like it?" He asked. I tried to form words but nothing came out.

There was a Victorian feel to the house. Any of the old dusty furniture now looked new. Everything was a million times better.

"It's gorgeous." I scoffed.

"I'm glad." He smirked as he led me over to a table with a pale pink cloth draped over it and took off his bag, before pulling out a chair for me to sit on. "Tell me about yourself." He told me while he pulled out boxes of pastries.

"Like what." I scoffed.

"Like your family. Your interests. I really only know of you, love." He smirked.

"Well. I'm the only girl in my whole family. I'm an only child to my parents. And I play quidditch." I said. "That sounded like I was on some game show, didn't it?" I laughed.

"Yes, but it was cute. So you're an only child." Scorpius said, raising an eyebrow.

"Well yes. But my cousin Micheal lived with me for a while. My dad's side. My Aunt Gracelynn and Uncle Jay died when he was born and so he's basically my older brother. An annoying older brother." I scoffed.

"You're not a pureblood are you?" He asked me. I nodded.

"No, I'm of pureblood descent though." I shrugged "On my father's side, my grandfather is a half-blood and my grandmother is a pure blood of Burke. My mother is a pureblood herself but was raised in a muggle household." I told him. He raised an eyebrow.

"Really?" He said.

"Mhm. She's of Flint and Macwood. The two families hated each other, two of them had an affair and gave her up to a muggle family." I nodded.

"Oh wow. I don't think I've ever heard of that." Scorpius said. "My father loves to talk about the other families." I laughed as he shook his head. "He doesnt shut up." Scorpius groaned.

"What is your family like?" I asked him, tilting my head.

"Well, it's just me and my dad." He shrugged. "My mother passed away when I was in second year." He sighed, "So it's just kind of been the two of us."

"Oh I'm sorry." I said, frowning.

"Thank you. But that's depressing and we're not gonna do that on a date." He said sitting down since everything was all out on the table.

"Right then." I smiled lightly.

"So what about your hobbies?" He asked me.

"Well I play quidditch. But that's about it. I'm so focused on my studies and being head girl, it's hard to do anything else." I scoffed.

"Well I knew you played quidditch. You beat us every single time. But for that matter, Amelia can't get the snitch for sh*t." Scorpius sighed.

"I beat everyone every single time. Gryffindor house has won the house cup every year I've been on the team which is why I'm captain." I grinned.

"I only joined this year." Scorpius said.

"Really? Is someone putting Amelia out of her misery, following in your father's footsteps?" I asked.

"No. Never that. Nothing to give him to just compare me." He scoffed. "Keeper." He said.

"I can see that." I smirked.

"Try the red velvet." He told me pushing the cupcake to me. I smirked at him and laughed as he shoved one into his mouth.
