Wendy and Teddy didn't stop bugging me till dinner when they gave up. They tried Daniel and Sam but they didn't know either. I kept to myself.
"So what's going on with you and that Slytherin. Scorpius right. I promise I won't tell them. Frankly a lot of the day has been the slytherins and gryffindors yelling at each other. Which always seems to involve Wendy and Teddy. I get it." Jenna said to me as we walked up the stairs.
"Well we're casually dating, I think. He's in my potions class and yesterday he wouldn't leave me alone until I said yes. He actually trapped me in an arm prison more specifically." I smiled.
"He seems sweet he couldn't take his eyes off of you during the tour." Jenna smiled, nudging me. I laughed.
"I really like him. But I can't tell things one and two before I'm sure about him." I scoffed "They're so judgy. It's insane."
"I think the two of you are cute. Don't worry about them." She smiled and nudged me.
"Thanks Jenna." I grinned.
"I support young love." She smirked. "If you ever need me to lie for you I will, but only about this young love thing. Otherwise I'd be too nervous." I gave a small laugh.
"I appreciate it." I laughed.
"Of course." She smiled.
"Are you trying out tomorrow?" I asked her.
"I don't know. My brother's the star in the family. Does all the sports and... I don't know." She shrugged.
"Tell ya what, I have the field before tryouts. Come an hour before and I'll check you out myself." I said.
"Alright." She nodded.
"Good." I smirked.

I woke up bright and early for quidditch tryouts. I was excited to see everyone's skills and make a new winning team. We needed to crush Slytherin again this year, if I died doing it so beit. I got on my gear and grabbed my broom before rushing down to breakfast.
"Ryder. Ready for today?" Professor Granger asked me walking with Professor Longbottom. I nodded.
"Yes ma'am." I grinned.
"I want to win again, for what is the 6th year in a row?" Professor Longbottom grinned.
"Of course professor. Nothing less." I smirked, grabbing a cinnamon bun and an apple. "Will you both be coming?" I asked.
"As will Professor McGonagcall." Professor Longbottom said.
"Great. See ya soon!" I smirked.
"Don't tryouts start at 11?" Professor Granger asked.
"Yes ma'am but I need to get my head in the game." I laughed leaving and heading to the quidditch fields relacing my boots and doing a couple of laps.
I pulled out the practice snitch and grabbed it a few times just to test myself. Then Jenna showed up with her broom in hand. A basic one but a broom nonetheless.
"Ready?" I grinned.
"Yeah." She nodded.
"Alright hop up and grab the quaffle." I told her. She saddled onto her broom and threw me the quaffle. So hard I almost fell backwards. "Jesus. You might give Wendy and Teddy a run for their money." I scoffed.
"That's what I've been told..." She shrugged sheepishly.
"Well come up here. I just wanna see you throw through the hoops." I told her as I flew over toward the hoops. "So go back there and fly toward the hoop and throw." I nodded. She flew towards the other end and then started barreling towards the hoops and making the shots with impeccable aim. My lips parted in shock.
"How was that." She asked, sighing.
"MY BROTHERS THE QUIDDITCH STAR MY ARSE. Are you kidding!" I yelled at her. "Obviously you have to go through tryouts but. Wow. You'd be a great chaser." I laughed. "Do it again." I said throwing the quaffle back at her. A smile graced Jenna's lips as she nodded. I knew I had just found one of the best chasers this school had seen.
After Jenna and I had worked a bit it was time to start tryouts. Slowly I opened the gates to have a rush of every gryffindor enter the quidditch field. I sighed.
The original team stood in the front with the second years in the back as well as any new students.
"Good morning Gryffindor! As you know this team is about full. We can use some more since a bunch of us went off." I smirked. "We'll be here all day. So get ready for some sore muscles" I said. I scanned the crowd to see Rose Granger-Weasley who tried out every year. She was good but there was never a chaser spot and she wasn't better than her older cousin Roxanne who was descended of THE Angelina Johnson one of the best chasers in our history nor was she better than Diana Wood who was of Oliver Wood the second best gryffindor captain to me. This year was her shot, we needed Underclassman for the team and she was good enough to be on it. "Before we start I need everyone to sign onto the sheet so I can evaluate later.
No one even dared to try out for Seeker. I'm not a cocky person... but I was a good seeker. Period. Many people tried for Beater and Keeper but they couldn't touch Daniel or Wendy and Teddy.
I was excited for the chasers. For the chasers a race was always in store. First they had to practice catching the ball dropping. I wound up narrowing it down to Jenna, Rose and Wes. Which needless to say made many of the gryffindors angry. So I threw a couple more in there just to insure a 'fair fight'.
"GO." I yelled. I only watched the three of them who were all far far ahead of the others moving through the obstacles with ease neck in neck. Until they all crossed the finish line at the same time. I looked up in the stands to see McGonagcall, Granger and Longbottom with Sam leaning against one of the towers smirking.
"Good. List'll be up tomorrow." I nodded. "Woodlys stay. Daniel you too." I said as they all filled out.
"RYDER." Professor Longbottom yelled. "YOU DON'T PICK WEASLEY AND THE AMERICANS I WILL FAIL YOU." He said.
"UNDERSTOOD PROFESSOR." I laughed. "So we're all in agreement." I nodded.
"Actually I protest Wendy's being on the team." Teddy said, raising her hand. Making us all but Wendy laugh.
"Shut up, I pull all the weight." Wendy scoffed.
"Go write up the list" I scoffed, hitting her on the shoulder and putting away my gear in the locker room before returning to the dorm. I sat down on the couch next to sam needing to finish some assignments from Muggle Studies.
"How was tryouts?" Sam asked me.
"Well." I nodded "this list will be up tomorrow."
"So who made the team?" Sam asked rather loudly the whole Gryffindor house flocked toward the common room. Pushing each other to hear.
"I'm not telling you." I scoffed. "Go away."
"Come on Ryder. We all know. So just admit it. Plus I'm the head boy you can trust me." Sam said.
"Last year you told me that when I told you the christmas gifts I got for Wendy and
Teddy and then you literally told everyone in the dorm." I scoffed at him. "I'm going into my room to finish this."
"Wait no, I have potions homework that I don't understand." Sam frowned. I looked at him and groaned.
"What is it?" I sighed.
"Love potion. What the hell is it called." Sam said looking obviously frustrated.
"Amortentia." I replied laughing.
"Thank you." He said to me
"Of course." I smiled walking back to my dorm having to push past all the younger years to get to my room. I changed into my pajamas and fell asleep despite Wendy and Teddys arguing over whose book was more interesting.
