VII. A New Faces

Author's POV

It was 5:30 in the early morning when Ji eun is still on her own happy world, dream, her mom is busy cooking their breakfast. Today is her first day going to the college that she wants to be in, Incheon Univeristy College. She got a full free scholarship when she join and win the contest that held last month, August. 

Colleges begin in late September to January. Incoming freshmen are the least priorities of the college administrators. Seniors are their more priorities because of they have to do a lot of duties before graduating. 

Even before Ji ah, Ji eun's mother wake her daughter, she was about to open the door of Ji eun's bedroom when someone already open it as she was surprised. "Mom." she heard a soft voice. "Ji eun, you're already awake?" she asked her as she saw her daughter fully woken up that her eyes are seems already awake like 2 hours ago.

"Yes, I woke up at 5 am in the morning and I can't sleep thinking of-"

"IUC." she finished. "Don't worry Ji eun, everything will be alright. Like what I said before, people are kind. Rich people are kind." she smile and Ji eun was confused.

"How'd you know that rich people are kind mom?" she look to her daughter who still confused from what she said. 

"Wh-what I mean is, not all rich people are kind but... most... most of them are really kind" she said in a nervous way of speech. When someone told her about a rich people her heart beats faster. 

"Oh, uh okay. Did you cook breakfast?" asked Ji eun as they start to walk down the stairs. "Yes my dear." said Ji ah.

They walk together until they reach the kitchen. Ji eun is always been fascinating to her mom's everyday breakfast. Even if she doesn't have school, Ji ah always prepare a delicious breakfast, whether lunch nor dinner, she really love her daughter.

After eating breakfast, Ji eun stood up and told her mom that she is going to take a bath. Today is a very precious day for her. The day where she will meet new people, new rooms, new students, new desks, new office, new gym, or should I say.

A new place.

Ji eun grab the door knob and open it widely so her body can enter fully. She is never excited about going to this school. She heard from lots of people that IncheonU is a really hard school for everyone. This makes her to be more nervous. 

Incheon University College, a big name to say. Everything is perfect. 

She then grab the towel that is hanging on her clothing rack that is located near her clothing cabinet. Ji eun starts to walk lazily to her bathroom that is in her bedroom as well. Her room is big enough to fit a 53" by 84" bed full, a wardrobe body that is 5 or 9mm MDF board with melamine finish and a wardrobe door that is 9 or 18, 25 mm Melamine. 

When she got in the shower room, she turn the shower on and start scrubbing her whole body.

"You're so beautiful!" Ji ah exclaim to her daughter who is now wearing a red plaid mini skirt and a brown stockings, a PO brown blazer with a red and dark blue scarf around her neck. She really looks beautiful on it. 

"Mom, should I pony tail my hair or not?" asked Ji eun. Her long hair is really bothering her. 

"Just don't pony tail it, you look so pretty." Ji ah come closer to her daughter and brush her long hair.

"Just remember this Ji eun, be yourself in your new school. Don't make any trouble okay." Ji eun nodded her head and smile comfortably to her mom. I'll do my best mom. Just for you. 

"So, where are your things?" ask Ji ah as she look at the back of her daughter. "Oh, I forgot it's still on up stairs. I'll go quickly mom and I'm ready to go." she said.
