Chapter 18 - Better?

Jessica awoke to the sound of feet walking around.

"W..who's there?" She mumbled blinking slightly whilst waiting for her eyes to adjust to the light.

"It's okay Jess, it's just a few of us doctors. Are you feeling well?" One of the doctors reassured her.

"Yes I'm fine." Jessica swiped her fringe out of the way, she didn't care if it looked a mess. Her eyes had finally adjusted and she blinked a few times to make sure. She then looked around, she noticed the doctors were clearing up. "Why are you.." Her eyes landed on the empty bed, "Where is Taemin?!" She asked worried. 

"Haha, don't worry he's just in the toilet..." Another doctor assured whilst walking out of the room.

"You mean he's up?" Jessica jumped out of her seat. "Where are the toilets?" She asked eagerly.

"Follow me," A young doctor beckoned whilst walking out of the room. Jessica skipped over and followed. They turned a few corners and she spotted the toilet sign. 

"That's it right?" She squealed happily.

"Yes," The young doctor replied sensing the happiness radiating from the girl. "You can sit over there and wait" He smiled and left her. Jessica nodded,

"Thank you~" She called before sitting down. "Taemin is finally awake, he was okay!" She murmured to himself. "Oh right, Key!" She said as she pulled out her phone. She searched through her contacts until she found 'Kibummie~<3' she smiled at the name and pressed text. her fingers tapped away at the screen.

Jessiekins;) : Hey Kibum, are you awake? I know it's early but Taemin's awake!

She lowered her phone and looked over to the boy's toilets.

Where was he? she wondered.

She sighed, she couldn't wait to see him and apolegise. After a few minutes Jessica wondered if something was wrong. She looked around to see if anyone was nearby, no one was paying attention to her so she walked up to the boy's toilets. She hesitated but walked in. 

"Taemin-ah?" She called. No answer. Her heart raced.

Where was he? Did something bad happen?

She took a few steps forward with her eyes slightly closed. She didn't want any unwanted 'suprises'. She gulped and opened her eyes hoping no one else was in here. She looked around, it was quiet. She called out again. "Taeminnie~?"

He must not be here? she thought.

Just as she turned to walk out she heard a heaving noise and slight whimpers. She turned around "Taemin?" She called and looked around, she saw a door slightly closed, more than the others. She took a deep breath and stepped towards it, more heaving noises were heard, and the slight splash of maybe puke? she shuddered and pushed the door open. "Taemin~" She looked inside and saw Taemin sprawled on the toilet floor his head hanging over the toilet. He looked dizzy. Pale, very pale. "Taemin!" She grabbed him and helped him up. "Are you okay? I thought the doctors said you were better..?" She rubbed his back. Taemin broke into tears.

"M..make it s...stop...Jessica...make it... st...stop!" He cried.

"Make what stop Taemin? What's wrong?" Jessica got more worried by the second.

"E..everything.. it hurts.. my.. he..heart, it hurts.." His crying got louder. Jessica felt so guilty.

"Taemin I'm so sorry, I promise I'll make it up to you! I was blind, and stupid and I'm really sorry..." Jessica gushed out almost crying herself. "Come on let's get you cleaned up!" Taemin nodded and slowly walked with Jessica's help out to the corridor. Jessica saw her phone left on the seat.

Whoops! She thought but sighed in relief it hadn't been stolen.

She looked around and sat Taemin down and handed him a bucket. "Puke in here if you feel sick.." Taemin nodded and kept the bucket on his lap. Jessica picked up the phone and saw she had 6 messages.

Kibummie~<3 : (7:31am) Is he really? Is he okay? I will be over soon. Are you okay?

 (7:32am) Jessica? >:( everyone's worried?

(7:33am) JESSICA?!! Don't ignore me, we are all worried!!

(7:34am) That's it, I'm coming now!

(7:35am) Okay so I'll be there soon I have to wake up the others...

(7:45am) Right, I'm dressed, now I have to wait.. tell Taemin not to worry!

Jessiekins;) : Sorry Kibum, Taemin isn't all that okay, he's still throwing up and--

"There you are!!" Key's voice boomed. "Why haven't you replied..? Taemin!" Key ran over to Taemin, "Are you okay?" He rubbed his back. Taemin threw up a bit more. "He's still ill?" 

"Sorry Kibum, I was looking for Taemin and left my phone out here, I was in the middle of replying..." Jessica replied. "Yeah, I don't know why, the doctors said he was fine..? Where are the others?" Just as she spoke the whole gang slumped around the corner all drowsy eyed and yawning. Onew was moaning he was hungry, they hadn't even had breakfast since Key had rushed them. Each of them walked over, their eyes lit up when they saw Taemin.

"Is he okay?" Niya asked, Kibum shook his head. Everyone sighed. 

"Taemin-ah..." Whitney sighed and sat on the otherside of him and hugged him. Taemin moaned that his stomach hurt.

"Someone get a doctor!" Key ordered. Minho and Jasmine ran off to find someone. Jessica looked at Taemin with full sympathy.

"I am really sorry for putting you in such a state Taemin. But you must believe me, I really love you!" Jessica protested.

"Yes, after all you should take her back, she did stay with you overnight!" Kibum added. Taemin looked up.

"Y..you did?" He managed to croak. Jessica smiled and walked over rubbing her fingers down his cheek.

"Yes, but please I do love you Taemin I--" Taemin smiled and pulled her close.

"I.. love you too!" He croaked smiling, his face full of joy once again. "And, I think I'm better now.. much better.." He smiled putting the bucket down and hugged Jessica. Key and Whitney let them have their moment and stood back smiling.

"So.. does this mean he was love sick?" Jonghyun whispered to Key, Key turned to him.

"I guess so...?" Key smiled looking back at them.

"We'll go find Minho and Jasmine before they get a doctor!" Onew said as he took Zoe's hand and ran to find them. Key and Jonghyun turned to eachother. 

"I guess it's all working out well now..?" Kibum said. Jonghyun nodded. 

"Yeah, but do you really think this young love will survive a second try?" Jonghyun worried. Key's eyes widened. He didn't want Taemin to have this happen all over again. 

"Um, are you guys sure you should, get back together?" Key said to the hugging maknaes. They looked up happily. 

"Yeah, couldn't you guys just be close friends?" Jonghyun suggested, the two looked at each other.
