Chapter 6

Lucas can't concentrate on his work because of a certain brunette that keeps on bugging her mind.

He finds it weird that he was not able to make a move on Liza that night in the bar.

You like her his other self is talking to him, while the other says because she's not your type remember? And now he finds it crazy, he's talking to himself, he needs distractions.

He visits every department of his company. Maybe it's about time to have an inspection.

In every department he had been there's a lot of women who tried to flirt and eyeing him like he's some kind of prey ready to claw anytime whenever he looks at them, but none of them he shows interest.

Every time he thinks over if he found himself comparing these ladies to a particular brunette seating in front of her canvas concentrating then laughed with her friends without a care what will others think.

She's not like other girls he used to be with, that are insecure and dressed up because paparazzi might take photos of them or simply to impress him.

Oh what happen? You made inspection for you to be distracted and what did you do, you keep on comparing her to the woman population here in your company! He scolded himself, see his talking to himself again, he's going to lose his sanity any time soon.

OK continue your job,  one last department to go and your done he says, take note guys he's talking to himself again.

"hey man" Lucas greeted their chief engineer who happens to be his good friend and sometimes a clubbing buddy, Luther Samuels.

"hey you! The great Lucas Gabriels  is in the house!" Luther says cheerfully.

Lucas just smile shaking his head "how's work?" he asked.

"we're great specially that you grace us with your presence."

"stop the flattery man" Luke says laughing.

"by the way, this Saturday is my birthday, I want you to be there and this time is different, my mom hosting it and I don't accept no for an answer man" Luther in his serious tone.

"sure, I never say no to a party, EVER!" with the emphasis on ever Luke says smirking.

"it's a deal Saturday, 7pm"

"deal, see you then Saturday 7pm, and make the reservation plus 2" Luke says.

And you know who are the plus already, it will be fun!

"sure, the more the merrier" Luther says laughing.
