Chapter 21

Weekend came, both Lucas and Liza are excited, it would be their first time going out and with label, "dating".

Their first stop, Lucas brings her in his favorite diner, it was just a small place but the ambiance is beautiful and homey.

Now she sees that there is good inside this man, the story she read about him are not all true.

While waiting for their order, Liza notice a man in his mid or late fifties that looks scary coming their way. Lucas didn't notice because his back facing the man.

"Luke watch at your back" Liza warn Lucas in alarm

Lucas do as what she said and found his old man coming, he knows why Liza react that way, because when you didn't know John, you can tell that his a gangster, with a hulk body and tattoos and piercings all over his body, you can't say that he's a good man.

Lucas smile and Liza feels relieved, they knew each other.

"hey old man!" he said standing and giving the old man he called a bro hug

"young man!" came the cheerful voice of the man and hug him back "so who do we have here?" he asked

"Liz a good friend and owner of this place, John Smith, John, Liza Samuels my special friend" Lucas introduce them

"nice meeting you young lady" and hugs her, Liza was shocked with the gesture "nice meeting you too sir" and hugs back awkwardly

"and John to you Liz, now have you order?" John ask lovingly

"yep! the usual, so you better make an impression old man!"

"no salad this time?" John wonder

"make an exception on this one, and wait until you see her eat" Lucas said amused

"hey! I'm right here remember?" Liza said

John chuckles softly and looks at her, "it's not obvious"

"hey! you're teaming up against me, it's not fair" Liza complain jokingly

"don't worry Liz, your secret is safe here" John teasing her

"you better!" she treats him

Both men laugh. And John make himself excuse, he has to prepare their order after whispering Lucas "don't let her go, she's a keeper, she's good for you" then pat his shoulder.

Their order arrived and Liza waste no time, she dig immediately and savour the food and close her eyes and moans softly, heaven!

Lucas can't help but smile and stare at her, then clear his throat, Liza was back to her real world and open her eyes after hearing Lucas, she see him smiling and staring at her.

"what?"

"stop doing that or my lips will be the one you're going to eat instead of food" Lucas teases her

Liza just rolled her eyes and back to eating her food.

They finish their food while talking bout anything, they said their goodbyes to John and Lucas brings her to their next destination, the cliffs.

"wow" is the only word Liza can mutter, the view is breathtaking and quiet

"I thought you hate places like this?"

"now you know I don't, I'm a painter remember? this place is amazing, it's nice to paint in here" she said while looking at the scenery

Lucas was happy to hear that from her. "wait until I bring you to other places I know, this is only the beginning of your journey with me" he said hugging her from the back.

Liza feels good, his hugs brings her security and peace and love. And she loved it!

"are you having regrets why you're with me right now, and not with your friends and girlfriends?" suddenly Liza asked

"no, and I won't change what I have right now to anything else, as long as you are by my side I'm happy, how bout you?"

"never"

And who can tell That boring is the new definition of fun for Lucas.
