NBSB meets PLAYBOY (complete but not edited)

Chapter 9

Saturday came, Liza make her finishing touches of her painting, her phone keeps on ringing and beeping indicating of new messages.

15 missed calls, 70 unread messages, 40 from her mom, 18 from Brandy, 2 from Jela, and the rest are from her brothers and Judy.

She didn't bother to read the messages, she already knows what are the contents on it,  it's all about the party. She ignored the beeping until there's a call again, she feels irritated and without looking at the caller ID she answered....

"hello mom...."

Without hearing the rest of her words her mom cut her off. "Liza Samuels! don't forget, 7pm today, not tomorrow, not another day,  today! " her mom in a motherly tone, meaning she's already pissed maybe because she didn't answer her calls earlier.

"I know mom, I won't forget about it"

"and you know how to text or call right? It won't hurt to call or text back, you keep me worrying and your dad is excited to see you, don't disappoint him you know what he can do" her mom's statement in a threatening tone.

"okay, and I keep that in mind, bye mom"

"and another thing, are you going to bring someone? a he this time? I'm dying to meet one"

That's the reason why she hate talking to her mom for too long specially if there's a family gathering, she knows it will end up with her love life.

"not this time mom" she said in a plain tone

"sweetie your not getting any younger" her mom back in a sweet tone

"okay I'll think about that "

"don't think, do it!" and back to her demanding tone mom...

"okay, bye mom,  love you" and not waiting for her moms reply she ended the call

Why do they keep on telling me that? Why not Luther, he's older than me, and I'm happy and contented of what I have right now. She remember her mom tells her that Luther is a hopeless case and she don't like the idea of her being the same. A long sigh up to the sky....
