Chapter 19

They stayed glue with each other for the past hour, they're too comfortable to that position when they hear a knock on the door.

Both of them are not ready to end the hug, but Liza decided to pull away, she needs to answer the door, but Lucas tightens his hold on her and said.

"let him wait, I'm very comfortable here"

"no, I must answer that, maybe that was the pizza delivery you called"

"how about if that was the more important than me?"

"trust me, that was the pizza delivery, now,  let go of me, I'm starving already"

Hearing what Liza said Lucas hesitance on letting Liza go but he did.

Liza quickly went to the door to open it and she saw the delivery man standing in her door step, smiling.

"thank you" and she went directly in the kitchen.

There she saw Lucas setting the table smoothly like his so familiar with the place. She just stand there watching him do his job in awe.

"take a picture it will last longer" he teases her

"or I'll kick you out so that I will be the one to eat all of this" she teased back.

She lay the pizza in the table and sit on the chair opposite Lucas, she started to dig in, and eat the pizza wholeheartedly just like there's no tomorrow. Lucas can't help but stare at her, she's the only girl he knows that eat like that.

"take a video, it will last longer" she teased him.

Lucas chuckles saying "you know what I keep on wondering where did all the food you eat go? for a small girl like you, you sure eat like a sumo wrestler" Lucas said amused

"hey! It's not my fault that I have a healthy metabolism" she defended herself blushing and ashamed

"and when you blush, it's cute"

"what? cute? its like your telling me that I'm small you know, can you make it beautiful?" and wink

Lucas chuckles more,"you know you're funny right?"

"but you love me" she said smiling  while mouth is full

Lucas can't help but think of what Liza have told him, is he in love?

"Liz, do you trust me?"

"if you asked me that a few hours ago, I should have told you no, but now maybe, I feel more comfortable and more open when you're around" she said

Liza's confession is like a music to his ears, he can't help but smile and said "will you believe me when I invite you to have a date with me?"

"why?"

"because I want to know you more"

"just like getting to know? Haven't you know me better now?"

"OK, so you better be my girlfriend then?"

Liza was shocked what? good thing her mind is working fast this time "hmm...date it is"

"👊 ouch, It hurts" he said while touching his heart pretending to be hurt

"OK, then forget about it and finish eating so that you can now go"

"rude" and make a bite to his pizza then add "but seriously I want to date you"

Liza stare at him, wanting to know if he's sincere but what she saw shocks her,  he's indeed serious, dead serious, besides she wants to make a try on this one, maybe it won't hurt to try right?

"ok"

"what!? are you saying yes?" he asked enthusiastically

"isn't that what you want? have you changed your mind?"

"I want, of course, a date it is, on weekends clear your day, I'm going to make sure that you will have a good time, I promise" he said

"can we seal that deal?" and without waiting for the reply he stand and kiss her. For the third time Liza respond and was sure  that she's in love, yay! she's normal. And Lucas will proves that he is capable of being a one woman man.
