Chapter 20

Both are catching their breath and smiling like idiots after their long passionate kiss.

They are just staring at each other familiarizing and lost in each others  thoughts.

Until Lucas remember something.

"by the way it's already late but your very important person did not arrive, are you sure there is, or you're just lying?"

"and why should I lie to you?" she asked lost of words, shit she forgot about her lie, the hell with the kiss! it gives her amnesia!

"because you want me to be jealous?"

"and why is that?"

"stop answering me with questions woman, now answer me! do you have a visitor or not?"

Gotcha! "actually no, I don't have" she admits

And now Lucas see red! "and why? are you playing with me!?" Lucas  now in a dangerous tone

"no, no, no, listen, I told you that, because I want to be alone, I want to think on something, because I don't want to do a thing that I might regret later" she confessed

"and do you think I  will believe on that? why not tell me now that you want to avoid me,  cause even if your telling me not, I can feel it that you're avoiding me!"

"why is it that you're shouting?"

"because I'm mad! because I feel like you're making fun of me and it's not funny!"

"OK, you want the truth? then I'm going to tell you the truth, yes! I want to avoid you, because I don't trust myself anymore, when you are near me I don't understand what I'm feeling, I break all my rules, I can't understand my emotions, I am composed and in control, and I hate it, I hate it that I can't even explain it, I am a woman of explanations, I never came out of words, but with you, I lost my control, what I was used before are changing, I'm confused, I don't know what I want anymore" and now she's touching her head and continue in a low voice "when I saw the news about you last night with a girl, I was hurt and I don't know why, when you called this morning I just finished reading the article about you in the internet, and that's the reason why I wanted to avoid you, call me coward, but I just want to save myself from future heartbreak because I know that when I go with what I understand I'm feeling, I will end up hurting" now she was crying

Lucas feel betrayed but at the same time confused, Betrayed because of all the things he showed her, she chose to believe that he will hurt her, and confused because, Liza is vulnerable, she doesn't know what she wants anymore the same with him, he's not used to this, they both don't have any experience on having relationships, and now he is willing to try and make it work, this time, with Liza, in situation like this he will cut all his connection with the person he thinks betrayed him, because he hates betrayal, and he don't believe in second chances, but now he's breaking his rules just like her,  maybe it won't hurt to make a try after all they are in the same page with this.

He came to Liza and hugged her for the second time tonight.

"I'm sorry" he whispered "can we start again and this time no more lies OK?"

She nodded while wiping her tears away.

"now smile, we don't want wrinkles in your face right?" he teases to lighten the mood

She likes this playful side of him than the angry one just like awhile ago.

"I like the playful you than the one awhile ago, it's scary" she said in a low voice but smiling this time

"I'm sorry if I scared you" now he's smiling too.

She just nod and smile, now she feels better, maybe being with Lucas is not a bad idea after all.
