Dear Shelley,
I haven't talked to you in forever. Actually, I don't even know where you are right now. I think you were in Thailand the last time you sent me a letter.
I wish I could write back to you but I don't have your email address and I can't send you letters because I don't know where you're going to be next.
But I just want to say that you totally and completely changed my perspective on life. I was in awe of your stories. You're my inspiration. I'm so amazed that you just picked everything up and decided to travel the world and follow your dreams. I'm amazed that you spend so much time volunteering. You've inspired me to do the same sometime in my life.
You were always there to listen to me and encourage me to always do my best. It's thanks to you that I've gotten the courage to share my writing with people. And yes, I'll do my best to keep my promise and become a worldwide best-selling author who lives on a boat and works as a translator for the UN.
I really and truly hope that I can see you again sometime soon. I've missed you.
Much love.
~Kat
