Exploring Elvinia (Unedited)

Lord Jarin, Queen Ryia, Prince Jayden, Tristan, Princess Melissa and Princess Shaylana all headed out to greet Favian. As the headed out onto the courtyard , a huge shadow came over them, suddenly, a boom sounded, right in front of them was a blue and black....dragon.

"A dr-dragon." Lana stepped back, gasping at the big animal that stood in front of them.

Melissa stared at the magnificent but fierce creature before her. "Woah. I have never seen a dragon before..."

"Really? Your kingdom is the third biggest, I would think that they had dragons." Prince Jayden replied.

"Well, we don't. We didn't even know they existed." Lana replied stubbornly, slowly seeing that the dragon was of no threat.

"Well, Princess Melissa and Shaylana, meet Favian, the head of our dragons." Prince Jayden smiled. Behind them, shoes clacked on the pavement. Nadia was walking toward them. They girls smiled at her and turned back to the dragon who stood talking to Lord Jarin. The lord looked to the four, and motioned for them to come.

"Favian, this is Princess Melissa and Princess Shaylana of Livonia. Their kingdom was attacked, and Merek has sent them to us. They are to stay with us for awhile. Now, Nadia, why don't you show the girls around the Kingdom. It's a beautiful day to be outside." Lord Jarin said.

"Yes, Father. I was just about to ask them if they would like a tour. Now, Melissa and Shaylana, I bet you would like to go see your pegasi. Come, I'll show you." Nadia smiled, she walked gracefully away, the two other human princesses following.

"Oh, Orion and Loreena are here?" cried Melissa in surprise.

"Of course your highnesses. Merek brought them here." Nadia said politely.

"That's wonderful. I very much like your Kingdom, it's so lovely and peaceful here. Oh and please, call us Mel and Lana. We don't have to me so formal do we? On and this might be a silly question, but may I ask how old you are?" Lana asked.

"Of course you can ask. In human years, I'm about 18. And no, we don't have to be so formal, Lana. Please just call me Nadia then. I'm just brought up very proper, you should know the ways we princesses must be." Nadia giggled.

"Oh no. We are very UN-proper princesses, Nadia," commented Melissa, smiling.

"Oh good." Nadia sighed, "I've had alot of princesses come and they are oh so worse. It's nice to have some girls close to 'my age' that know how I feel. So, here's the stable. We have alot of pegasi here. And a couple horses in back up. Then on the other side of the kingdom is a huge field with everything in it that they need. It's for the dragons of course.

"What do you mean? Like 'for the dragons'? Do you mean as a food source?" asked Melissa, frowning in confusion.

"Well, the dragons need food and water. We have about 50 dragons living here; twenty are more of a regular dragon, they don't have fire power or anything. Then the other thirty are of all different breeds. There are more that mostly just roam around and come to the kingdom once in awhile. We can go see them after." Nadia says, opening a rolling barn door.

"Really? But....but won't they eat you? Or at least try to?" asked Melissa, worry on her face.

"Oh no. Do you remember the stories of the great viking Hiccup? Well, all those dragons he trained and his mother trained had children and they had children and so on. Most dragons are very nice, but they still are fierce. We have dragon trainers here that are in the line of Hiccup. There are dragons out there that are mean, and people who are still trying to kill dragons, but it's much better. You'll have to see, but let me tell you, there's nothing to be afraid of. Each person of the royal family has their own dragon. I have a half regular half razorwhip. It still has the deadly sharpness of it's tail and the metal like skin, but it he doesn't have any fire power. Anyways, Orion and Loreena are at the end of the stable. You guys walk down there and I'll get a couple treats for them." Nadia explained, as the girls stood in the opened door way.
