Hello! I is the author of dis book and am not very good at this but decided to give it a shot so enjoy! No haters please. I already know I suck. 😇😂😅

I was walking home after my shift at the hotel. I work at one of the top hotels in Seoul, South Korea, The Nevermore, as a waitress in the restaurant. As I was walking I heard silent footsteps. I turned my head slightly, I saw someone. I decided to make the assumption that they were following me before I started to freak out. I made a sharp turn into an alleyway in between the pharmacy and bookstore. I then noticed they were following me. I stopped and stood there for a minute. The footsteps were then right behind me. Then they were silenced. I turned and backed the figure against the closest wall. I looked a little closer at the figures face and noticed who it was.

“Hoshi.” I grumbled letting him go.

“Heya, Emma.” he replied with a smile that could put the sun to shame.

“Don't do that. You scared me half to death.” I said smacking his shoulder.

“Oh please, we both know that if I had scared you that much I would probably be on the ground dead.” he said straightening his posture.

“You and I also know that I don't do that anymore.” I replied with a frown as I started walking away.

“Don't be mad. Im sorry. But I need your help.” he exclaimed sprinting after me and grabbing my arm so that I face him.

“What do you mean you need my help?” I asked curious.

“It's a case.” he replied quietly looking down.

“As I said, I don't do that anymore.” I muttered before continuing on with my journey home.

“Please Emma? I wouldn't ask if it wasn't important and a last resort.” he said trying to catch up with me and the fast pace I was walking at.

“As much as I love being a last resort, I have to decline.” I said gripping my bag tighter. He stopped walking and said “It's about Exo.” That sentence alone made me stop in my tracks.

“What about them?” I asked not bothering to look back at him.

“Why? Have I peaked your interest?” he asked cockily.

“Just tell me and I'll consider working with you.” I said turning around with my hand on my hip.

“The Mad Man.” he muttered looking down. I could feel the fear in my gut as he said that god awful name of that god awful man.

“He bombed a mall.” he said quietly. My eyes suddenly went wide

“Why?” I asked looking down to my feet seeing the wedges I was still wearing from my work uniform.

“We don't know. There wasn't really a reason. If you come to the station I'll show you the footage.” he said walking closer to me. “Just remember, if you do come with me your on this case. There is no backing out of it.” he added. I thought for a moment. Only a moment though. There was no debate. I'm taking this case. I owe that much.

“I agree.” I said looking up at him. He looked into my eyes and his showed the same mischievous glint I've always seen ever since we were kids. That same glint that went along with the same smirk he was wearing now. He hasn't changed.

“Let's go then E.” he said grabbing my hand and heading off.

“You never change Hosh.” I mumbled smiling. “I heard that.”

When we walked into the station I saw multiple familiar faces, faces that looked at me shocked. I heard whispers coming from all angles of the room.
