A man, known to most as The Messenger, known to others as Unknown, has reached his breaking point.
He's lost his way in the world, not sure where he's going, or why. What he is sure of, is that he's not the one who chose the path he's on.
He can't take any more. The lies, the deceit, the brainwashing. It's left him completely unsure how to feel, not knowing what's his own thoughts and feelings and what was put in his brain to manipulate him.
He wasn't under her control anymore. He can't believe the one thing to make him realize it, was MC. He never wanted to hurt her, but knew what he was doing had done just that, and to make it worse, it made her more like him.
A brainwashed, broken mess.
He begins recalling things. How he has changed because of MC. It wasn't anything she had specifically done; It was just her presence, it made him want to be kind. Before, that thought alone would have revolted him. That was the old him, however, and now he had no clue how he really was, how he was supposed to act.
He didn't mind if MC had helped him find it, though.
The more he kept thinking, the more the panic set in. The panic of not having any true memories to rely on, the panic of feeling so changed. He remembered he had been so set on the plan of using MC against the RFA, and taking revenge on his brother.
He didn't even know if he wanted that anymore. 'Of course I don't,' He told himself, 'I just..Want to know the truth. Who am I?'
He tugged on his hair tightly, panic turning into anger. How could he let this happen to himself? How could he let it get to this point?
Saeran had begun to blame everything on himself, not taking in the fact he was so vulnerable that he had no control over it. Of course he blamed himself - Not only did he believe it was himself who let it get this way - but that it was his actions that led up to feeling like this.
The utter confusion, and complete hate he felt for himself -- Was because he hurt MC.
'Why do all my thoughts keep leading up to her?'
Putting everything on the fact he had probably just felt so much regret - he never took his own feelings about MC into consideration. How could he when he had everything else on this plate?
But god, the way she listened to him during the nights, sincere concern on her face, just for him as he told her his life story. He really fell in love with it, the same way MC fell in love with him, and maybe, he could take that as having feelings for her as well.
Saeran remembers the first night he spoke with MC, halfway aware of his brainwashed state, a shell of who he really was. He had asked her if she hated him - and her response was no. He wondered if that would still happen to be the same response. He hoped it would, but how could she forgive him already if he hadn't even started to forgive himself?
Saeran noticed an ache in his head, and assumed the stress from this breakdown was giving up a headache. Taking a deep breath to ease his heart beat, he stood up, wanting to go take a walk.
As he walked through the hallways, he paused, noting he was right about to walk past MC'S cell. He hadn't talked to her all day, avoiding her for the obvious reason, but he wouldn't be able to fix things between them by doing that.
Should he talk to her? 'No, no,' He told himself, a small frown on his face, 'She's probably asleep anyway. I'll just walk past.'
Doing just so, he of course had to stop to take a look at her. What he saw, made his heart break.
