"The path to paradise begins in hell."

"Saeran- Saeran, please!" (Y/N) called once again, still following Saeran. She wasn't sure whether he was ignoring her calls, or simply didn't notice them, but either way she continued to call out to him.
(Y/N) followed him through the hallways of the C&R building, down the stairs, and outside, where he finally came to a stop once they were in a more secluded area, but still, he wouldn't turn around and face her.
"Saeran," (Y/N) spoke more softly, as she approached him slowly. She wasn't too sure what to say, seeing as she could never be sure of what was going through his head, but Saeran ended up speaking for her.
"I can't do this," He spoke firmly, but the pain was evident in his voice. "It's too much for me to take."
(Y/N) opened her mouth to ask what he couldn't do anymore, but closed it as she decided to let Saeran speak his mind. She felt that's all that he needed right now- Someone who would listen to him.
Saeran tugged at his hair in frustration and sorrow, letting his arms fall down to his side. "(Y/N)...I've been betrayed so much, hurt so badly, and left behind too many times." He couldn't help but let the words flow out of his mouth as he came clean with all of his emotions. He felt just as vulnerable as he did when he would go to (Y/N)'s cell at late night and talk to her.
"I don't want to be hurt anymore, I don't want to be alone! I'm supposed to let go of my past, but how can I let go of what defines me?" As much as he hated to admit it, it felt good to open up to someone - someone that he could trust. He trusted in (Y/N), he trusted that she wouldn't abandon him like everyone else. Yet, he couldn't differentiate whether he really believed she wouldn't leave, or if he wanted her to stay so badly he wouldn't believe anything else.
Suddenly, he felt a pair of arms wrap around him, causing him to tense up. (Y/N) was hugging him, and while it was likely in a way that was meant to comfort him, he couldn't help as it only made him sadder. The warmth of her skin on his made him extremely content, yet he only began to fear about the possibility of (Y/N) leaving him.
"You don't have to be alone, you don't have to be hurt." (Y/N) spoke quietly, her voice filled with the sole intention of making Saeran feel better, and with each word that she spoke, he relaxed into her arms. "It's okay not to let go of the past. Sometimes the past reminds us of what we should try to be today, and what we should work towards to make our lives better."
Saeran's eyes teared up. He was supposed to be listening to (Y/N)'s every word closely, but he was still lost in his own feelings. Yet, she continued to speak, "I know it's hard for you to see Jihyun and Saeyoung, you don't have to do this if you don't want to. Baby-steps are the best way to heal. Things will take time. But, if you do decide to proceed with seeing Saeyoung, I will help you. I'm not going to leave you, because you didn't leave me. You saved me, Saeran. "
(Y/N) deeply meant every word she said, and she spoke her words with her feelings in mind. She let her arms fall from Saeran's waist, and he turned around to face her. His facial expression was no longer one of hurt, instead, it held a soft smile.
"(Y/N)...When this is all over, run away with me."
Saeran's words slightly took her aback, but (Y/N) found irony in them and started to giggle, "Didn't we already do that?" A smile found its way on her face too, and she was slightly relieved she was temporarily able to cheer Saeran up.Before she could process what was happening, Saeran's face suddenly felt a lot closer than it was before, even though he hadn't moved and inch. Yet all she could focus on was the look of his light pink lips curved up in a smile, and this time, she was the one to initiate a kiss with Saeran.
Unlike the previous kiss, she took the time to enjoy being in such close contact with him, though it felt like the kiss was over in an instant the moment she pulled away. She remained close to his face though, and once she had opened her eyes, she saw the way Saeran's face was tinted a shade of pink, just like her own had been.
Saeran moved his hand up to her face, and went in for another kiss, but stopped when he heard approaching footsteps. Looking around for the source of said footsteps, he soon saw Jihyun coming around the corner street of where they had been standing.
Almost instantly, Saeran's body jerked back- an instinctive response to run away, yet his feet wouldn't move. A part of him wanted to stay - to find out the truth.
He wasn't quite sure whether he should really take the risk of trusting Jihyun - After all, he was part of the decision to leave Saeran with Rika.
"Saeran... (Y/N)..." Jihyun's voice was shaky and tired, causing the pair of people in front of him to assume that he had chased after them. "Please, let me explain-"
"But first, I am so sorry, you two."
