Saeran awoke to a body full of cramps, and an empty room.

At first, he thought nothing of it. (Y/N) could of been in the bathroom. Until he realized the door was wide open, and no one was in there.

That relization sent any drop of tiredness away, as he went rigid with full alertness. (Y/N) was gone, and she could be anywhere.

One word kept repeating in his mind.

Fuck.

He quickly stood up from the small chair he had fallen asleep in, and put on his shoes as quickly as possible. He had to act fast. Taking note of the time, he'd only been asleep for about 2 hours, so (Y/N) couldn't of gone anywhere very dangerous, like back to Mint Eye.

The situation made Saeran make mental jabs at himself, 'Stupid, I'm so stupid. I can't believe I honestly thought it was safe to let her be so unattended like that.'

He honestly had no clue where to look. Could he even call out her name without risking their safety?

With this big of a city, how could I even find her?

Saeran's heart was beating fast, and knowing that the longer he waited, the further (Y/N) would wander, he sprinted in a random direction to look for her.

Turns out, the direction he took was the route to the city. The crowded streets and security policemen everywhere meant if (Y/N) was here, it'd be the hardest to look for her.

Through the whole time he searched, Saeran couldn't help but scold himself. He should of tried harder to keep her under control, but it hurt him that she left, even if he thought it was a possibility.

While searching, a small thought popped up in Saeran's head that wouldn't go away, even if refused to acknowledge it.

Why does he care so much about (Y/N)? Sure, he could tell himself that it's because he felt like he owed it to (Y/N) to fix the mess he made, but even so, that doesn't require him to care for her. Infact, the only logical reason was he was beginning to develop feelings for her.

Alleyways, drugstores, parks, and any public place he could think of, he still came up empty handed. After an hour of searching, Saeran declared the city empty for any signs of (Y/N), and headed back to the motel, hoping that maybe she had returned, or wasn't really missing at all.

The nagging thought persisted in his head all the way to the motel.

The thought of how he might be in love with (Y/N).

Trying to get it of his mind, he sped up his pace, remembering how he still needed to find (Y/N) as soon as possible. He was insanely worried at this point.

Just a few minutes later of walking, and he was nearly in front of the motel, where he could make out figures of two people standing outside his motel room door.

Upon looking closer, he saw it was (Y/N) and the desk clerk of the motel. Saeran jogged over and noticed he was simply letting in (Y/N).

"There you are, young man," The clerk called out when he noticed Saeran approaching, "Your girl here was sitting locked out for half an hour before I noticed she was locked out. Next time you leave, make sure she has a key!"

Saeran felt odd being scolded by the older man, but he was so relieved to see (Y/N) he actually began apologizing, "Of course, sir, thank you."

The clerk waved his hand and muttered something under his breath as he left after opening the door. Saeran looked over to (Y/N) and saw she looked like she was going to apologize, but he let out an exasperated sigh and instead, reached out and hugged her.

"Please, (Y/N), I don't care where you went or why. Just please, don't leave like that again."

Realizing what he did in the heat of the moment, he let go of (Y/N), a slight pink blush spreading across his cheeks.

'Interacting with her is so much harder now that I might have feelings for her,' Saeran thought to himself, 'If I keep this up, she'll notice in no time.'

"Let's just go inside, okay?" He asked, and (Y/N) listened, nodding her head, but not before trying to explain herself.

"Saeran?"

Feeling shocked at hearing her speak his name for some reason, Saeran looked back with a confused expression, "Yeah? What is it?"

"I- I'm sorry for leaving like that. I just woke up, and I couldn't remember anything, but my body was trembling and I was really cold, but oddly sweating, so I went outside and I started walking and didn't stop. Then I just got lost. I'm sorry." (Y/N) was rambling on, but she tried her best to tell him what had happened, sincerely feeling bad for obviously making him worry.

"It's okay, honestly. Let's just head inside. I'm glad you're safe, that's all." He offered her a smile, and then walked in, (Y/N) trailing right behind him.

Feeling an awkward silence approaching, Saeran turned on the television just to have some background noise. Because it was such a cheap motel, there really wasn't much to do besides sleep.

Reminded of the pile of files stacked on the desk, Saeran noticed a few on the floor that he must of knocked over while asleep, and went to pick it up.

Reading the label, he noticed it said 'Social Influencing' rather than 'Building Plans' like most of the other ones. Flipping open the file, there were pages full of notes on the effects of brainwashing through the method of drugging, and even more pages of experiments that were conducted with it.

Saeran couldn't help but smile brightly when he realized that, by miracle, he grabbed one of the correct files he needed.

Not having anything to do either,  (Y/N) looked over Saeran shoulder to see what it was he was so happy about, "Saeran, what is that?"

Although Saeran was a bit cautious about telling her anything that could set off any emotions, he decided to be a bit cryptic.

"This, (Y/N), is exactly what we need to help fix you."
