Newtina One Shots

It has come to my attention that Newt Scamander stays in New York for an entire week after Grindelwald was captured, this one shot is about Newt Scamander getting Tina's job back for her.

Tina's P.O.V

"I'm sorry you were dragged into this really you don't have to come," I said. Newt and I were walking to the MACUSA office, madam president requested a meeting with me today and Newt offered to come along.

"No it's alright, I had nothing else to do, besides they probably want to interrogate me more about Grindelwald" he said.

I nodded, it had been this way between Newt and I most of the week. Neither one of us really knowing what to do.

Our friendship has grown immensely and Queenie always teased me about liking Newt more than a friend. Which was not true one bit we were barely friends.

"Uh Tina?"

Newts voice brought me out of my daze, "yes what?" I asked.

He smiled at my unawareness "we're here,"

I looked up, sure enough we were standing right in front of the MACUSA offices, how did I miss that?

I shook my head "right sorry I was thinking," I was about to open the door, but he beat me to it and opened it for me. "Thanks" I said walking in.

We walked in silence to the elevators where Red was, "Madam President is waiting for you upstairs Goldstein" he said

"Thank you Red," I said as I entered the elevator, When we reached the correct floor I walked out with Newt following close behind.

"Ah Mr. Scamander, it's good you came as well we have more questions" Madam Piquery said as we walked in the room

Newt nodded, "and you ms Goldstein I wanted to thank you for helping with the capture of Grindelwald as well,"

I looked down "really most of it was Newt," I said

"Yes and how could we ever repay him," she asked.

Newt looked up, "it wasn't much trouble you don't really need to repay-" he glanced at me. "Wait no actually, I do know one thing you could do for me"

Madam Piquery raised her eyebrows "and what would that be?" She asked,

I watched him, he glanced at me again making eye contact with me, "you- you could give Tina her job back?" He stated.

  He had my full attention now, why would he want to ask for my job back?

"Mr Scamander that's a sweet request, but she's broken a law and we don't want to repeat past mistakes." She said,

I looked down embarrassed, I knew deep down she would never recruit me again.

"Yes but she's one of the best I've met, she's stood up for what was right this entire time, she helped capture Grindelwald, she's wonderful at her job and you're missing out on not having her on your team, I know the ministry would want her."

I looked at him completely shocked, I was blushing like crazy and doing a horrible job at hiding it. Why would he say that about me? Isn't he mad at me about his creatures and yet here he was fighting on my side.

Madam Piquery looked at me again, and then back at Newt, "very well, Ms Goldstein you are now officially back on the investigative team"

I beamed, this had to be one of the best days I've had in a long time, "thank you madam president thank you!" I said quickly,

"Of course, now escort Mr. Scamander down stairs please" she said

I nodded, trying to make myself stop smiling but I couldn't help it.

(And now I'm going to change it a little bit)

I started walking out with Newt following behind me, but I didn't exactly do what Madam president told me. I turned a corner to where my old auror office was, it was vacant and soon I would put my stuff back in.

I opened the door and pushed him in. "Why did you do that?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" He asked, "why would you go out of your way to get me my job back? You didn't have to do that." I said

"Are you mad?" He asked, he looked kind of scared.

"No! Of course I'm not mad, thank you thank you! But you really didn't have to." I exclaimed

"Well I can't think of anyone I'd rather have investigating me" he said, I saw him immediately cringe, but those words meant so much to me.

"Try not needing investigating for a bit?" I asked blushing.

He looked down, "I will, quiet life for me from now on, back to the ministry deliver my manuscript."

I looked down in a moment of sadness, "oh well when are you leaving?" I asked.

"Hopefully as soon as MACUSA will let me," he stated.

"Oh," I responded "so soon?"

He looked back up "well I don't see why there's a reason for me to stay, I mean I let frank loose and yeah that was why I originally came, and then the Niffler caused a bit of an issue. And then I got illegally arrested."

I blushed again, that was my fault. "Sorry about that again."

He laughed "really its not issue I don't mind being arrested by pretty girls" he immediately stopped talking and had become suddenly awkward and reserved.

I blushed an even deeper red and so did he, "sorry I didn't mean to say that, I've ruined everything now haven't I?" He said quietly

I became very bold, and risked something I wouldn't do if I was thinking straight. I grabbed the front of his coat pulling him close and pressed my lips against his.

I caught him by surprise, I sensed his negative response so I slowly started to back away, but he wrapped an arm around my waist so I couldn't escape.

When we broke apart both of us were breathing heavily, "I've barley known you a week," I said quietly.

He gave a small nervous laugh "what so it's ok for Queenie and Jacob, but not for us?"

I smiled, he was right, but I don't remember their kiss being as intense and needy.

"Come oh I think I'm supposed to take you downstairs" I said

"Oh right," he responded.

I smiled, "Mr. Scamander you're going to have to come with me." I said grabbing his arm.

He laughed "by all means lead the way."

Hehe I quoted Hamilton the American side of me took over, and yes I complete changed the ending but I had no shame 😂😂😂😂 ahhhh freaking out over newtina I need help but now I have to go update my other fanfic sooooo see ya! Until next time
