Dimitri. I don't know what took over me but I gasped as I saw him. Just after exhaling, Lissa opened her mouth, and the silence ended.

"What the hell, Rose?" She snapped at me. As I it was I that abandoned her, as if I was the one who did something wrong. Well she was wrong, and I was gonna let her know that.

"Oh do what do I owe the pleasure, Princess Vasilissa," I bowed my head, "Adrian, Guardian Belikov." I was not going to snap with her there.

" I'm so sorry Rose..." Adrian rushed.

"What?" I asked quickly, following his pace.

"I tried to..."

"How in hell could you do this to me?" Lissa screeched at me before he could finish, "You totally ruined everything," she wined, " I was supposed to be in charge of the strigoi project, you ruined everything!" Wow. She was moody.

"I'm sorry your highness," I replied calmly," but I have more important things to deal with than your bitch fit, so if that's all, goodby." I was suppressing all the anger for later, and didn't let any show. I turned away from the group, getting a small smile from Adrian as I started walking again.

Then something shocked me, a voice so deep and sexy it could only be one person, Dimitri. " You never told anyone where." His husky voice said, making me internally shudder. He was the only person who could ever make me crack, and subsequently, the father of my child.

"Where? Where I went after you dismissed me like a servant? Oh you should ask the people around you. Still stay in touch with Tasha?" He flinched visibly as I said this, the pain in his eyes fueled the fire I had to continue. " She can tell you."

"How?"

"She can tell you that too." I said as I walked towards my apartment. I didn't look back, but I knew they were shocked at those statements.

"Morning." I say to Abe as I walk into the spacious kitchen with a sleepy Erik on my hip. Boy was he heavy. I had just woken him up and he was playing with my hair in a tired daze.

" Quite an eventful one for you, I heard." He sighed as I sat Erik in his chair and got up to get a cup of coffee from the machine at the counter.

" Word travels that fast, huh?" I ask as I set my cup down and move on to getting breakfast ready. Sadly, the only thing we had was cereal so I unceremoniously prepared 3 bowls of Cheerios.

"I'm just surprised i didn't hear about you loosing your temper." He states as I place the bowl I front of him. " You seem to be calm around them."

" Erik, your Cheerios are in front of you." I instruct my son, which has proven to be very successful as seeing he started eating, and then turn my attention back to my father. " I'm not going to stoop to their level, old man." I sigh.

"Tasha?" He mouthed. I briskly brushed it off.

He chuckles and turns to my Angel and says, " Torun, you've got a very good mother. Be sure to love her with all you've got."

"I lub momma, Dede." Erik replies gleefully as a Cheerio slips from his hand and falls to the ground.

I laugh and brush his hair away from his face, kissing his forehead before picking up the cereal saying, "I love you too, my Angel."

We finished our cereal as we talk about the earlier events, and try to teach my baby some new words. Once everything is cleaned up, I run through the routine I've done since we've been here.

I walk with Erik around the apartment, verbally telling him where stuff is. It's something I've gotten used to since learning about his disability. He is perfectly capable of walking and is just as strong as any other child, but he just needs to be aquatinted with where he is. One of the reasons I had second thoughts about moving was because it took him a while to learn our house in Russia. Thankfully, he is getting better at his memory skills, and this time, with some directions he can maneuver around the apartment quite easily.

It really makes me happy to see him so joyful and active, so for the remainder of the morning, we sit on the floor of the living room and play. I love him so much and cherish spending time with him.

The sound of the doorbell at noon brings me back to reality.

"One second!" I yell as I stand up Erik, and I guide him to the door. I put him on my hip before opening it. "What can I do for you?" I ask as I look at Dimitri Belikov, who subsequently is staring at the tiny human playing with my long curls.
