Capitolo Quindici

It's been a week since that truth game happened and instead of being awkward around each other, we actually grew closer. He's been following me wherever I go, really. When I asked him if what he said was true he just answered me with a sincere smile which made me not to ask that again since I can see the sincerity in his eyes.

Hera asked me kung ano daw ang nararamdaman ko pero I answered her, "I don't know Hera. I feel like everything is right"

She said, "Take time to understand pero not too long ha?Goodluck Amelia baby, I'm so happy for you"

and that was the end of our conversation

I sighed and shoved that off, I am just giving my finishing touches to my art work before passing it to our professor. I've been working for this nonstop ever since we arrived from the trip. Three hours is my longest sleep time while two hours is my shortest. Sanay na ako na ganyan ang tulog ko kasi may mga oras talaga na nagiging ganyan ako pag marami akong ginagawa. I take naps naman if I have time

Andito kami ngayon sa Ball room ng University. We are working on the lay out while the others are buying the materials.Monday, Friday and Saturday are the schedule for decorating, the rest of the weekdays are for regular classes and the Sunday is the rest day

The RoseWood University ball room looks enchanting enough but we will put some adjustments and alterations to fit the theme. We will hand paint the design on the curtains and pillars at the back part of the ball room and we will put a grand stair case in front. Paintings will be put on the blank walls and this whole room will be filled with artificial peach colored trees and fresh picked flowers. They wanted it to be magical and artistic

We're starting to paint the curtains just a little while ago. We have 40 curtains in total and 4 persons are in charge of one curtain. It will take us a month to finish this since we only got 3 days a week to work with it. 

Nandito ako ngayon nakaupo sa isang sulok kasi ako ang momonitor sa lahat ng ginagawa nila. I am familiarizing the details sa layout na binigay sakin nina Andrew at sa mga draft na pinasa sakin ng mga nagp-paint ngayon. I scanned it yesterday and transferred it to my laptop for better access. 

It is already noon and most of the people here left for lunch however some stayed kasi iba talaga ang determination nila. Hindi ko sila maiwa iwan kasi yung ibang tao ay nakadepende sa akin at kailangan nila ng guidance

"Pres!" sigaw ng isang babae na nag p-paint kaya linapitan ko ito, "Yes?" I asked

"We are experiencing some trouble right now. We don't know what to do. We stained the curtain with a drop of paint" she explained kaya tiningnan ko ang ginagawa nila. Ito yung isa sa mga mga magagandang draft na naibigay nila sakin

Yung paint naman na tumulo ay light naman,"Since hindi naman siya makaka apekto sa main figure na ilalagay niyo, gawin niyo nalang siyang background. Mixed it with other colors kasi pinakita niyo sa draft niyo na one color lang ang ginamit niyo. Take some risks and be more imaginative."

Tumili naman sila sa saya, "Waa thank you Pres! Life saver ka talaga!" sabi ng isa naman na babae. I just gave them a smile before going back sa dating kong inuupuan

Not long enough after I was settled again in my seat, girls started squealing and I know what that means

"Lia, lunch?" sabi ng lalaking may hawak na lunch box sa magkabila niyang kamay

He's calling me Lia just because. Di ako nakakuha ng matinong explanation galing sa kanya. Napailing nalang ako nung sinabi niya yan na nickname na yan. Hindi pa naman nagtatagal noong tinawag niya ako sa first name ko tapos may panibago nanaman. 

"I can't leave, sorry Drew" I replied and saw his shoulders lowered indicating that he is disappointed

In return, I called him Drew which he liked.

Then all of a sudden, Drew called Takeru. Yes Takeru, he's here to take care of the staircase and he's been with Hera like a lot.

Takeru is now in front of me so I gave each other some acknowledgement

"Takeru, take care of Lia's place will ya? We will be back after 30 so you do not need to worry. Lia, is there something that the students from your department will do that Takeru cannot handle?" Drew said

I shook my head,  "None for now"

He smiled, "Aight, I will be counting on you Takeru" and escorted me outside. We continued walking until we have arrived at a vacant table under a tree

I sat down and he sat in front of me, taking out the lunch box and gave it to me and some utensils

"I did not know what you like so it's a salad and some white meat" he explained as I dig in

"Did you made this?" I asked since it was amazing

Umiwas siya ng tingin, "I had some little help from the cook" he said but I chuckled, maybe not a little Drew

I finished my meal a little earlier than Drew and I cleaned up, gave it to Drew, "Thank you for the meal" I uttered

He smiled at me, "You're always welcome Lia, I know you know that"

I didn't gave him an answer but instead I looked away, I am still new to this thing. I do not have any knowledge except from the books I read but, "It seems rather odd" I whispered but I think Drew heard it because he answered, "What's odd Lia?"

I sighed and looked at him in the eye, "I'm going to be honest with you Drew. I do not want to offend you but how did you create some romantic feelings with me in just a short span of time?"

His eyes were guarded and his jaw was clenched. It is like  he was trying to stop himself from saying something stupid. However, after a second it was gone and honest eyes are planted on mine

He smiled, "Looks like I will tell you one of my biggest secret"

I raised an eyebrow, "And that is?"

"I took notice of you ever since high school. I was your school mate but you were distant so you would not have noticed. Apparently I think fate has her ways, I saw you again at the very first day of classes in this University. I admire how you work and how you present yourself as a leader. I always liked your gentle personality and warm heart. So I think I've been taken interest of you for about 4 years now. Luckily, I got to know you better this year and oh, I apologize for my rude gestures in the past" he said with a sincere smile in his eyes which made me feel something in my stomach
