Capitolo Trenta

I slowly put on my costume for tonight's competition. I took a deep breath before heading out of the curtains of my dressing room and sit down a chair in front of the mirror. I took a glance of my fake face in the mirror and sighed before adding some eyeliner to my already make-d up face. I added a tint on my lips before I made my hair into a bun. I hair sprayed it so it will be in place even though I will move around

I stared at myself for a while before I heard a knock on my door. I heard it opened slightly, "Lia, are you done yet?" I heard Drew asked

I laughed, "Yes Drew. You can come in" 

You see as soon as we entered my dressing room, we waited for an hour and a half for my costume to arrive and as soon as I got it, Drew immediately went out of the room even though there is a place where I can change in here. He's really quite a gentleman

Mabilis namang pumasok si Drew but he stopped as soon as he saw me. Tumayo ako at umikot ikot, "What do you think?" I asked

There was a moment of silence before he spoke, "Ti's short"

My forehead creased in confusion. I may not heard it right, right?

"What?" I asked

He ran his right hand through his hair and stared at me with his eyes hinted of disbelief? But why, I wonder

He stared at me again, "THAT is short!" emphasizing the 'that'

This time, I cannot help but roll my eyes. "Drew, it is what it is. This is what we mostly use and do not fret, I am wearing tights"

He huffed, "Alright fine" and sat at the couch while I settled at my chair that was in front of the mirror

Another brief of silence happened before he spoke again, "Are you nervous?"

My eyes widen in shock. I was trying to mask my inner feelings with a smile but it seems that I can't get away from him

I smiled not reaching my eyes, "Does it really show?"

He rose from his seat and walked towards me. He wrapped his arms around me before putting his chin on my head. I wrapped my arms around his torso and then he spoke, "It will be fine Lia. Whatever the result is, just have fun okay? I will be up there, supporting you" and then he kissed the top of my head before he let go

I smiled at him when our eyes met, "Thank you Drew" 

He smiled back and the television that is inside my dressing room suddenly turned on. The competition is about to begin and the camera is going around the arena. I heard Drew chuckled, "Well, I think it's time for me to go now. I need to get ready so I can cheer you on. Are your siblings attending?"

I nodded, "They are at the VIP area"

"Alright then I must be seated beside them. Goodluck and break a leg Lia" he said and left the dressing room

I glanced over the television once more and took a deep as in really breath, well this is it
