As Sang watched, North stepped out of the truck and slammed the door. She flinched.
He must be pretty ticked off if he is treating his truck like that. It is basically his baby.
When he started walking towards them, she flashed back to when she had first met him, along with Silas and Luke, about three years ago.

Driving past the welcome sign to the new town they were moving to, a little town in South Carolina, Sang gave a sigh of relief. After driving over 19 hours from Illinois, with one stop at a hotel along the way, they were finally here.
"Ok kiddos, we are here," Sang told the kids. She pulled into a gas station to fill up and to stretch her legs. Before she got out, she turned to check on the kids. The twins, who were about about a month old, were both asleep, along with Josh and Colby. Only Sammy and Jacob were awake.
"I am just going to fill up, then we can head on to the house, ok?"
"Ok, Mommy, I will watch over the others," Jacob, her 4 year old said.
She gave him a big smile, thankful that she had somehow gotten lucky enough to have such a caring child. He was very protective of the others, her included.
After she filled up, they got back onto the road and headed to the new house. About 30 minutes later, she was pulling into the driveway of a one story, red bricked house. She smiled, really loving the outside of the house. She knew from the pictures that the inside would need some repairs done, but she could get them fixed. If not by herself, then she would hire someone.
The house was in a pretty quiet neighborhood, with houses on both sides. There was a house on either side of her's. When she had seen the pictures of the house, she had known it was the one for them. It had a good sized lay out, with the kitchen, dinning room, and living room all in one big open space. It had four bedrooms, with two bathrooms, one of which was in the master bedroom. Three of the bedrooms and a bathroom were on the right side of the house and the master bedroom was on the left side.
She had sold their old home back in Illinois and had bought this one. She knew she could afford a better house, even a mansion, but that was not what she had wanted. She wanted a home, not a house. This house could be their home.
By the time she had put the van into park, all the kids were awake.
"Ok kids, let's go check out our new place."
After unbuckling them all and carrying them into the house, two at a time, and they started to explore. She had decided that Jacob and Sammy would share a room, Josh and Colby would share, and the twins would have the last room. When they came through the front door, they walked right into the living room. The dinning room and kitchen were towards the back side of the house, along with a pantry and small laundry room just off of the kitchen. The dinning room had sliding glass doors that led out onto a small porch. The back yard was small, but it was fenced in. She really liked the kitchen set up. The fridge, sink, and stove, which all looked new, were along the back wall, with a small bar in between the dinning room and kitchen. There were plenty of cabinet and counter space.
The three bedrooms were all about the same size and the bathroom was a decent size too. The master bedroom was a pretty good size, with a walk-in closet, and the master bathroom was even better when seeing it in person. It had a jetted garden tub, a walk-in shower, and double sinks.
The bathrooms and the kitchen needed some small repairs, along with the laundry room. The other thing she was going to do was pull up all the brown carpet and lay down new flooring in every room, except the kitchen and bathrooms. In there she wanted to put in tile flooring.
