A week later, Chandigarh team meet up again for their practice session as per schedule. Shantanu had skipped his rehearsals for that day because he wanted to take out some time to practice for the upcoming BCL. As he enters the stadium, the first person his eyes search for is his friend Vrushika. Initially he does not see her anywhere and thinks that she might have skipped the session due to work commitments but then he notices 2 people standing at the corner of the ground busy discussing something. He looks carefully in that direction to see who they are and his heart skips a beat when he realize that they are none other than Vrushika and Rohan. Vrushika was holding his arms and laughing over something he just said while he was lovingly staring at her with a smile on his face.
Shantanu didn't know why he felt bad seeing them together and he just wanted to go away from there. He quickly moves to the area where his team was practicing and joins them in the session. Shantanu was the wicket keeper of team Chandigarh Cubs and takes up his position behind the wickets as soon as the practice match starts.
On the other side, Rohan was busy teaching Vrushika how to hold a bat properly so that she can hit the ball in the correct direction. Vrushika was finding it difficult to understand what Rohan was trying to tell her. He quickly goes behind her and place his hands over her hand that was holding the bat. He moves her hands slightly so that the bat was being held correctly. He looks around to see which of his team member was available to help him with bowling. He calls out Additi who was standing near by.
Rohan: Hey Additi
Additi: Yes buddy
Rohan: Can you please deliver an over for me? I am coaching Vrushika and need a bowler.
Additi: Sure
Additi get a ball and gets ready to bowl while Vrushika looks at Rohan with tensed face. Rohan was still standing in same position holding her hand from behind. He looks at her and assures her that everything will be fine.
Rohan: Vrushy, do you trust me?
Vrushika: Yes
Rohan: Then let's do it.
Vrushika: Ok
Additi bowls her first ball and Vrushika hits it with Rohan's help. Now Rohan leaves her hand and ask her to try again without his help. He asks her to concentrate on the ball and ignore everything else.
Vrushika looks across her where Additi was standing ready to deliver her second ball. On signalling ready, Additi starts running towards her and then throws the ball. Vrushika look at the incoming ball with full concentration and swing her bat. She hear a crackling noise as the bat hit the ball. Yes, Vrushika had managed to hit the ball and her happiness knew no bounds. She looks behind her to find Rohan looking at her with a smile. She quickly runs towards him and hugs him tight.
Vrushika: Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
Rohan: You are welcome. You are a good student.
Vrushika: You are the best teacher, my dimple boy.
Their conversation was broken by a sharp cry of pain from somewhere near by. Vrushika and Rohan look around and find Shantanu lying on the floor holding his head. Vrushika leaves Rohan's hand and runs towards him.
Shantanu was standing behind the wickets and trying to concentrate on the practice session but he was getting distracted by the sight before him. He saw how Rohan was teaching Vrushika how to hold a bat and hit the ball. He then encourages her to try batting on her own. Shantanu saw the happiness on Vrushika's face as she hit the next ball and it went past the boundary. She was so happy that she just ran to Rohan and hugs him tight. Shantanu was so engrossed in watching them that he did not notice the fast ball that was coming in his direction and then he felt a sudden pain as something hit his head. He fell on ground holding his head.
The entire team came running towards Shantanu as they saw him lying on the ground in pain.
Sachin: Are you Ok?
Before he could answer, Vrushika came running towards him and kneels down beside him holding his hands.
Vrushika: Shan, are you Ok? Is it hurting?
Shantanu quickly pulls his hands out of her hands and tries to sit up. Vrushika goes near him to help him but he stops her with his hands.
Shantanu: I am Ok.
Vrushika: But Shan
Shantanu: I said I am Ok. Guys, lets continue the practice.
Vrushika looks at him shocked by his rude behavior while he gets up and goes back to his position behind the wickets.
Rohan was watching them from far as to how Vrushika flinched when Shantanu spoke to her rudely. He quickly goes near her.
Rohan: Vrushy, are you Ok?
Vrushika: Yeah, I am fine. It's just that he seem to be acting different today.
Rohan: He might be disturbed by something that happened earlier.
Vrushika: Hmm
Rohan: Let's get back to our coaching.
Vrushika: No, not today. I am sorry Rohan but I am not in a mood for coaching.
Rohan: Ok. Lets get a cup of coffee and then I will drop you home.
Vrushika: Ok
Vrushika goes to Rohit and Anita and informs them that she was leaving for the day and will meet them in the next practice match.
Shantanu was feeling bad for the way he spoke to Vrushika earlier. He did not understand what made him say those things to Vrushika. He saw pain in her eyes when he spoke to her rudely. He decides to apologize to her after the practice match.
After match:
Shantanu looks for Vrushika everywhere but does not find her anywhere on the ground. He then goes to Rohit to ask where she is.
Shantanu: Rohit Bhai, did you see Vrushy anywhere?
Rohit: She left
Shantanu: What?
Rohit: Yes. She left with Rohan long back. They said they will going for a coffee and then he will drop her home.
Shantanu: Ok
Shantanu (In mind): She didn't ask me once why I was upset. She just doesn't care whether I speak to her or not. She has changed. She is no longer my Guddi.
Meanwhile at Vrushika's house:
Vrushika (In mind): Why was Shantanu acting so weird today? He was so rude to me and he didn't even call me to say sorry. I guess I don't mean anything to him anymore.
