13. My Hubby

Nandini's POV -

Its been a week since my Catholic wedding with Manik and I haven't been so happy ever before. Everyday I wake up watching Manik's smiling face with his arms encircling my waist.

Since the time we got married unlike the Hindu traditions where the girl leaves her house after marriage , Manik's parents decided to do the 'BIDAAI' of their only son and send him off to my house to stay with me and my family till the time our traditional marriage takes place.

Well our parents even met a Pandit to match our 'Kundli's' and find a perfect date for our marriage. Well today is the day when we'll know when exactly will we be getting married where I will have to leave my house and make Malhotra Mansion my house.

Well its true that me and Manik have been sharing a room & the bed but that doesn't mean we have consummated our marriage. We both are waiting for the day when we'll be married in our traditional way and then only consummate our marriage , for now we are happy with the hugs and cheek/forehead kiss , yes just cheek and forehead kiss , because I am shy to kiss him on his lips. Even he laughs at me for being shy to kiss my own husband but what to do.

Even though sometimes during our romantic moments Manik being in the flow of the moment tried to kiss me and I never stopped him but every time he himself managed to stop himself , I don't know where does he gets his being patient skills from but I totally admire and love him more for being this way , I do feel guilty for making him wait so much but whenever I try to be bold I get extra shy and Manik , being Manik just laughs it off trying not to embarrass me.

Some time I just ask god that what have I done in my life that I got a husband like Manik who loves me this much.

"Wake up my sleeping beauty"
I heard Manik as he planted a soft kiss on my forehead and all I could do was to smile.

"Baby get up else you'll be late for your class."
Manik being Manik never let's me bunk my college or reach there late , for him my studies are his top most priority and our marriage is somewhere in the bottom of his priority list which is almost occupied by me.

"I don't have any classes till 2 pm today so please let me sleep."
I love irritating him , though I was awake but every time he wakes me up its makes me feel like a princess , he makes me feel so special that I just want him to wake me up everyday.

"Okey , so in that case you sleep and I need to rush , I have A very important meeting at 10, & it's already 8:30 , I'll come to pick you up ok , just message me you schedule."
He again placed a kiss on the top my my head and left to get ready.
One thing that I have noticed about him in this 1 month is that he loves his work and is really punctual , everyday he drops me & picks me up from my college but his work is never pending , he completes his work on time despite the fact that he spends most of the time with me ,he never let's it effect his work and this gives me the strength to work hard & become something in life because I know I have the full support of my husband & both my families . Everyday I learn a lot of things from him , the ways he manages everything shows how responsible person he is.
Baby I just had a word with Abhi and he said that he'll drop you so don't even think about ditching your classes , OK so now bye , I'll see you when I'll see you , just text me the time when your classes will be over .
I was just lost in my thoughts when I heard him and opened my eyes to look at the most handsome person on the entire planet all dressed up in a three piece suit ready to leave , he again placed a kiss on my forehead before leaving the room as I muttered a bye smiling.

End of Nandini's POV

Chachi I am leaving for office , Nandini is still sleeping as she has her class from 2 pm so she wants to sleep more , but whenever she gets up ease make sure that she eats properly because I know she is thinking to go on a diet to be in a perfect shape till our marriage but I don't want that , just make sure that she eats and stays healthy.
Ragini smiled hearing Manik as she smiled and nodded as he made his way out of the house.

Our Nandini is so lucky to get Manik as her life partner.
Abhimanyu smiled hearing Ragini as he just thanked god for giving his sister the best husband in the world.

Khushi why don't you come to my house with me and Manik then you'll be the first one except Manik from the Raizada-Malhotra clan to know the wedding date!
Khushi immediately agreed to go as she was earlier telling Nandini to video call her when the Panditji would announce the wedding dates.

Ok Nandini you proceed I'll just be back after informing Arnav , I'll tell him to pick me up from your house.
Nandini nodded as she proceeded to the parking area of the college where Manik was waiting for her.

Hi wify!
Manik greeted as he took Nandini in a warm hug.

I missed you..
Manik smiled hearing Nandini as he kissed her on the top of her head and tighter the hug.
Finally we'll know our wedding dates today...
Nandini whispered while making patterns on his chest with her fingers while hugging him.
Aren't you excited? Well don't worry if you don't want an early wedding then we'll tell the priest to give us the dates after 4-5 months as I don't have a problem in living as a ghar jamai.
Nandini laughed hearing him as she hit his chest lightly making him laugh too.

I pray that they always stay together like this and all the evil eyes stay away from them.
Khushi who was standing at a distance watching them prayed to god while wiping her tears as she pulled out her phone to capture a beautiful picture of the most perfect couple in front of her.
