Chapter 30

Ezra's POV:

Everyone was asking questions about the decision the Captain made. Even shutter 5 was asking things. Of course she would... She obviously wanted to stay here. I wasn't listening to all the questions... I was in my own world.

What do I have to do so I could go with them? I like it here, but I wanted to be with the crew again... and I can't miss my friends! I have to go instead of shutter 5. Think Ezra! Think! Why does he choose them? Maybe because... uh... I don't know!? other question, why do I have to stay here? .... Because he needs me! Okay one question solved... and that makes sense to the other question! He chose them because in his eyes they do nothing for the base! That's obviously not true... but whatever.

I came out of my world and they were still asking things. I started to get a headache so I rolled away.

"Ez! Where are you going?" Moreena yelled.

"A place where I can solve things."

I rolled in my room and locked it.

If I want to go with them I have to do nothing for the base. B-but... I'm the commander!? I have to do- ... It is not easy to replace me... Now I understand... that's why he doesn't sent me. He can't... He knows how much I missed them. He wants to send me but it's impossible.

I looked at the ground and after a couple of minutes I looked in front of me. I stared at the person showed in the mirror.

"I am Ezra Bridger. I have responsibilities. I can't do what I want. But it's all worth it. I'm a commander. And I have to act like one. Not like a small child who wants to be with his family." I turned around and rolled out of my room. I can't go with them. And I have to accept that."

Unknown POV:

I stared at the boy. I couldn't believe it. Okay, he was right... but I don't know him like that.

I ran towards my husband and some Jedi masters.

"What's wrong, Mira?" Master Billaba asked.

"Calm down, dear." Ephraim said.

"Ezra Bridger... our son... is not the sameanymore after those years... he gives up."
