Was I right?

"Well, Shawn... it was nice meeting you." I say as I start walking away. He grabs my arm again. "Wait!" he says "Would you like to um, be my girlfriend?" he asks. I look at him, shocked. I don't know what to say! He's hot, yeah, but I like Chandler. I look Shawn in the eye and say "I'm sorry" before I run out the door. After 5 minutes of running, I get home. I feel terrible, and I feel like I'm going to puke. And sure enough, I do. My mom tries to get me to take medicine for it, but I refuse and just go up to my room. I pull out my phone and text Caroline and Mary Grace.
E: DUDE some guy just asked me out!

M: OMG WHO?!

C: ^^^^^^^

E: Some guy named Shawn.

C: SHAWN?!

M: SHAWN MENDES?!?!

E: IDK!

C&M: What did he look like???

E: Uh, brunette, brown eyes, hot ;-;

After that I just put my phone away. Was it a mistake turning him down? Chandler probably got back together with Rachel, and I just had the perfect opportunity to get into a relationship. I feel so guilty and confused, I puke again. My mom says I can stay home from school tomorrow, and I decide that I will pick up all my work in the morning and then go home.
I do my homework and then go downstairs to find my parents gone. "ALAINA?!" I yell. "WHAT!" She screams from behind me. I turn around and we walk towards each other. "Where's mom and dad?" I ask her. "They went to a friends house for dinner, they won't be back until, like, midnight." She says. I look at the clock and it is 6:45. I pick up my purse, put on shoes and walk outside to my Jeep. I get in and drive to town. As I walk to American Eagle, I see Caroline and Cameron walking down the street holding hands. I wave, and then dart into the store. There's clothes all around me, but I'm looking for a fancy dress. After I find the perfect one, I pay for it and go back home. I think I'm going to say yes to Shawn.

When morning comes, I realize that I don't have to go to school, but I have to get my work. I don't plan on anyone seeing me because it's so early, so I just stay in my sweatpants and put a jacket over my Mean Girls tank top. When I park in the school parking lot, I rush inside and hope no one notices me. I get all of my work from my teachers, turn in yesterday's homework, and I start to run out of the school. But then I notice Chandler in the hall, and I hide my face so he won't notice me, but sure enough, he does. He calls me over to him, and I walk towards him "Sorry for... my face. I'm sick." I say. "Why are you sorry? You're beautiful." He says and I blush. "Text me." he says, and hands me a note. I open it and it has his number written on it and I smile. He's definitely better for me than Shawn is. "Kk" I say and walk away. "Hope you feel better" he calls out from behind me. I turn around and smile, then walk out the front door and towards my car. But as I open the door to my Jeep, I'm spun around and Shawn kisses me...
