Joyriding (Frank Iero x Reader)

|| Chapter 4 ||

You woke up next to Kayla in her double bed. You lay there silently, waiting patiently for Kayla to wake up.

She woke up around five minutes later so you checked the clock on the wall.
10:07am.
That's okay, you have practically 2 hours to get ready and get to Starbucks. That's fine.

"Come on then Kitty" you said to Kayla as you rolled out of the bed and made your way to the kitchen. Kayla followed shortly after.

You were in the middle of making nutella on pancakes when Kayla joined you. She sat down at the table and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes as she mumbled, "oh my God I'm fucking tired...Why are we up this early again?". You look at her as if she's just killed your whole family, grab your chest and dramatically say, "how could you forget? We're meeting the one and only Frank iero you uncultured swine!".
"Oh God yeah" Kayla replied, walking up and grabbing her pancakes, shoving one in her mouth and mumbling a thanks.

-Le time skip-

You and Kayla had been waiting in Starbucks for only 7 minutes now and you recognised a face outside. Turning away from the door in the booth you pretended to ignore the man you're meeting. You know, so it doesn't look like you're obsessed.

"Hey". You turned to see Frank there, oddly on his own. "Hey" you replied, "where's the rest of the clan?".
"Oh erm, i haven't been hanging with them lately". Frank replied.
"Why not?" Kayla asked.

To which Frank sighed and shrugged his shoulders. "I'm thinking of splitting the band" Frank spoke, looking down at the table as if something was confusing him on it.
"Ive been offered a place in a new band, a band that I'm a fan of actually".

"Oh, i didnt think that'd make you guys stop talking" You said to him.
"Yeah, long story" He muttered in reply.
"So what band you joinin'?" Kayla asked
"My Chemical Romance" Frank replied quickly.
"OMG MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE REALLY?!?" Kayla burst out. She fucking had always loved that band. You yourself never really got into them. You thought they were cool, but not cool cool. Kayla sat there flapping her hands in such an idiotic excitement. "well yeah, i take it you like them?" Frank asked Kayla. "LIKE THEM?! I FUCKING LOVE THEM!!" Kayla shouted to him, he smiled in response, "Maybe i could introduce you too when im in the band then" he replied.

The look on Kaylas face was hysterical; she looked so fucking excited. "Of course, I would fucking love to meet them!"
"Haha, rad" Frank said, "how about some coffee then?", he turned and walked toward the counter.

You looked at Kayla and shrugged, she just pulled a funny face and started to follow Frank to get the coffee they all came here for.

Once you all got your coffee, you found a corner to sit in.
"So...hows things been" You awkwardly asked Frank.
"pretty decent, i mean im going to join My Chem, so why wouldnt i be happy?" He said humorously.
"thats fair enough" you muttered rather glumly.

"Ahhh, such awkward, much tension" Kayla suddenly spoke. "Why we being awkward when we can be coool" She sits back in her chair pointing a a finger gun at both you and Frank.
Frank finger gunned back, but it too seemed kinda awkward. You just giggled and said "Ay now sugar, you just pretending to be cool you try-hard". Kayla just swiped her hand to gently cuff your head and took a sip of her coffee.

The next few hours where filled with laughter and the aroma of coffee.

ps just wanna say that between last chapter and going to Starbucks, you showed Kayla MCR and she listened to it all night, hence her sudden obsession with them:) hope i didnt confuse anybody
