"Wake up Neeks," I groaned. Why did Will have to get up so damn early? "The sun's awake so I'm awake!" He whined.
I groggily sat up and looked around me. The bright red numbers on the alarm clock indicated that it was only 5:23 am! I looked over at will. He wore a light blue t-shirt and a pair of jeans. His golden curls were untamed.
I got dressed in my normal clothes and went downstairs to be greeted by the sent of pankakes and bacon. "Morni'n, want some breakfast?" Asked Jem as he sat and watched Nina flip the pankakes.
I nodded and took a seat next to Will at the table. The pankakes were delicious, perfect way to start the morning. Once we were done with breakfast Will jumped up, "time for chores Neeks, c'mon IL show you!" He jogged out if the door and I followed.
We walked around the house and back to a garage. Will opened the door and jumped in a ranger. (A/n: rangers are used in farms to get over rough terrain and stuff.

We drove around 100 yards down the dusty road and turned down a hill. When he stopped, we were in front of a big red storage barn. He opened the huge does with a creek and stepped inside inhaling deeply, "ahh the smell of crash hay and dust in the morning."
"Here, take these" he handed me two buckets. "Fill them up with the grain from the bin labeled 'sheep'." He turned and ran off to get something. I did as I was instructed.
"Great! Now follow me out to the sheep pen."
Map of farm up top. Sry if it sucks...
We exited the dusty barn and walked to the sheep pen. I emptied the contents of the buckets into a small traugh that was in a separate pen. "Why is this seperated?" I asked,
"Because there is a mother sheep in there with her babies they were born yesterday according to Jem." Will said as he took a hose and filled the water trough In the main pen, "Wana see them?"
"IL try but a fair warning, animals hate me," I replied.
He helped me over the gate of the pen and crouched down. He gestured for me to follow. He slowly walked toward the mother sheep whispering to her in a calmimg tone.
She let him pet her and he looked at me to follow. I did the same as will but she shrunk back nudging her three babies benind her.
I looked at Will, "told you they hate me,"
Then, one of he baby lambs shoved his way through his siblings and mother. He was all black with chocolate brown eyes and the usual weak legs and small nose. He trotted over to me and sat right by my feet. I looked at Will in astonishment, "looks like you have a friend Neeks," he said quietly. I nodded and crouched back down to see if I could pet the lamb. Im not usually the cuddly animal loving type but this little lamb warmed my stone cold heart.
