Merpeople have nothing against people in this au. They just don't communicate because not many people know they exist just a explanation...
"look it's that ship again," said Percy. Percy was a merman/siren. He had sea green eyes, and dark hair. His tail was a sea green to match his eyes. It gently faded into his skin, causing it to look like the skin by his hips was green. Percy was one of the two merprinces. To signify his place as a prince, he had a circlet of white perls around his head.
"Really, where Percy?" Asked Nico. Nico was the second merprince siren thingy, and Percy's cousin. He had pale skin, deep brown eyes and jet-black hair. His tail was black too. Where the tail started to meet his skin, black tendrils snaked up towards his torso. He wore a crown of black perls around his head. (Look at the two pics. The one in the story is what the bottom half of Nico's tail looks like, the other is what he looks like.)
"Well don't go near it," said Annabeath and Hazel. Annabeath was Percy's betrothed, she has grey eyes and a grey tail. Her long blond hair flowed behind her. Hazel was Nico's younger sister, she was going out with Frank, one of the palace guards. She had copper skin and beautiful dark brown curly hair. She had gold eyes that sparkled and her tail was a mix of gold and copper.
